Of course you can train him, but in long-term, you will be loosing training time

I don't totally understand training and how it works. Say I set my training to Ball Handling for my PG, which player does it go to? Does it go to all players that PG is their strongest position? Does it go to the starting PG? Does it go to any player who played in-game minutes at the PG position? I understand players improve with practice and playing time, but I don't understand how that works when it's done by generic position.

P.S. Is there a search function for these boards?

If you still have questions left don't hesitate to ask :)

I read the rules and they aren't clear on this detail. As I stated in my previous post, I understand that players improve with practice and playing time. What I don't understand is how each individual player practices as it is not specifically and explicitly addressed in said rules. So I ask again.

If I set my training to train my PG in Ball Handling, who improves in Ball Handling? Is it only players that have PG listed as their strongest position? Does it only go to my starting PG (if so, is it simply who started the last game?)? Does it go to anyone who played PG in a game that week regardless of listed position? If that's the case if I trained my PG in Ball Handling and then my center played some minutes at point guard would he receive some ball handling training and improve in that area? The last scenario that I listed makes the most sense and is probably correct, but it is only vaguely implied in the rules. I'm looking for specific and explicit confirmation or explanation of how it works.

P.S. Again is there a way to search for threads on these boards?

Training is given to anyone that plays the position(s) selected for training during the week.

For example, if you train PG/SG in Handling, any players that get minutes at either of those positions will get training.

Also, if you train 2 positions, and a player splits time between the two, the minutes count for both.

You need 48 minutes played at the training position(s) to get full training.

BTW, there currently is no forum search function.

Whole week, training depends on what training you haveactually when training update is happening.

You can change training regimens 500 times a week, but only the one in effect at the training update is the one used.
