If you read it then you would realize, as I have explained twice now, that I did not wait by choice, but by necessity. If I had lost out because I could not get there on time then I wouldn't have made a thread. The thread exists because I was pretty sure I did make it on time but was not able to bid anyways.

I see. I think you ahave simply misunderstood what I meant by too early. The last time befoer this I could have logged on would have been about 20-25 minutes before the auction. I was hurrying to try and finish what I was doing in time to bid, but felt that there was no point bidding on my last login because I simply would have been outbid anyways.

You are right when you say there is no point waiting until the last 2 minutes to bid... unless that was the earliest you could get there, which I thought I had mentioned, but apparently not, since nobody seems to have caught that ;)

All of which I repeat is irrelevant, because EVEN IF I HAD WAITED UNTIL THE LAST 2 MINUTES I should have had time to bid.

Now what you are saying about the clock is exactly what I originally thought, so now I am back to square one. The BB clock is what I was going by when I said I had made it in time.

you can try to sync your computers' local time yourself. if your on xp (not sure about vista), go to start -> run and enter:

w32tm /resync

that will sync the clock to wherever your computer has been directed to get its time. if its directed to a server in your domain that thats also off, it will still be off then.

I think you should realize that BB takes priority over a paying job, so log on earlier from now on.

P.S. - my wife is 7.5 months pregnant, and I hear ya loud and clear.

My machine is already synched and it has the correct time, and even if it wasn't this is not the problem.

The problem is that when I logged on I still had time to bid according to the BB clock.

you have to admit it does come off a bit confusing! probably a good thread for the bugs section if its not already there.

this is exactly what I disagree with. If you feel a player is very important for you, you should not wait till the last minute to make the right offer... no matter if that costs you a bit more money.
We may disagree on this, but I hope you understand my point.

The point of an auction is the fact that the "right bid" is the least amount that will win the purchase. (At least for the buyer)

What does bidding 20-25 minutes early get me? To win an auction this way you are forced to overpay substantially, wasting money better spent elsewhere.
