Right now my 19y/o is an SF build. I might be messing up his elastics a bit, I am taking him all around build and I did some JR for a few weeks with no pops, I think I jumped the gun . I need to stil with teh 1on1 F for longer, but I am just so eager to get him to single position training and get his OD adn scoring up.
His height (196 cm) is slowing things down a bit IMO. If he, by any case, had low sublevel of JR when you started with training, then 3 weeks without pop is certainly a possibility even at 19y. I needed 3 weeks for JR to pop on my 201 cm, 18y old (JR is the highest of skills right now, unfortunately I have to follow training regime for my U21 player).
I am also trying to find players with holes in their skillset and train them, but it's becoming harder and harder when you have a training regime to follow.It's easier with NT players because you don't care if you do that OD training now or in few weeks, but that's not the case with U21 when you have to take into account U21 manager's wishes, your team's plans and elastic effect. Luckily Polh has only one more season of 1-pos training in him, so soon he will end the "training terror" he was having on my team for three straight seasons now.
