No problem Baruch (and others ;)). I'm just throwing some stupid ideas because I don't like to "complain" without giving one idea or two :p

Just to be sure, these rules would only apply to team still in competition. Harder to implement but if you want a realistic game, you have to work harder in order to meet expectations.

We will see in some days but I doubt a lot of people loves to see forfeit team in PO/PD. The same pool could be done about tanking and would probably meet the same disapproving. So why doing nothing against this ?

By the way, I see you aren't against the tax idea after all. So it could be an idea.
Honestly and as Abukar stated, I think a total re-hauling is necessary. But patchwork for immediate action would still be good the time the re-hauling is done :)

The idea to raise higher the minimum budget is fine too. Except it will not apply at the end of the season when they aren't salary to pay if you don't have any official match.

I don't think BB is realistic. It's a casual game with a realistic, rather good GE.

Thinking freely here.

To prevent this situation, "lock" rosters, let's say 2 weeks into the season and allow only a few buy/sells during the season.
New teams wouldn't be subject to this rule.
Huge consequences on the TL. Limited transfer period pushing for higher fees, annoyance for casual BBers as you need free time during the transfer period, dead market out of the period.
Not ideal. Add probable unforeseen effects.

Or severely penalize revenues, upset fans are upset. Arena revenues could be higher (at the expenses of other revenues) and more stable but very susceptible to tankings and given up games, too weak lineups would penalize too.
Overall, very difficult to implement and fine tune.

Both solutions are very binding.

First of it's good we agree...

I rate ProA in France as a better league then Israel. Our Average salary was around 750 - 700 during the season. I don't see any reason the salary floor should be around 400K - I would like to see it at around 550 - 600.

Managers shouldn't tank! if they want to stop competing so be it. They won't make money out of it (Not a lot of it at least...)

There are a bunch of simple things that could fix these problems with the game easily.

1) Increase the salary floor, it should be around 2/3 of the league average in the top leagues but remove it in the bottom ones, you shuld be able to tank in division IV not I.
2) Lock playoff rosters about 1 week after the all star break as they do in the NBA. No last minute "rentals".
3) Teams that forefit a match also forefit their TV money that week (so at least they will have players and not wreck others training)
4) Teams don't get TV money in weeks they don't have a competitive game. (This will make 5th a lot less attractive.)

Player Salaries: $ 486 129

most of the seaon it was abut 700-750 now it is 486

the thing is 3 out of the 8 teams in the OP sold 50%+ of their roster and just throu the PO away as they lose money out of it (as the only team out of the 4 lower seaded teams who didentn do it and lost i can tell you me and my 770 sallery are paying a high price for it)

right now the worst place to be in is 3-4 place
this year OP game i had perfect game plane (well apperently not perfect as i lost but still kinda close to it)
i had all the defensive matchups i wanted and all the offensive matchups i wanted but apperently HCA is just ot much to beat
for next time if i get to 3-4 place i know what i am going to do

I agree - my idea is to just use TV contract and multiply it by X and make it salary floor (According to my calculations it should be around * 2 to * 2.5
Sorry I don't see why is it ok to tank in lower divisions...

Can't say I agree. In case salary floor will be high enough it won't be economiclly wise to sell players before the playoff. if no one will sell no one will buy - In case you have an inj or something, you'd like to make some changes before the playoff and that's fine. I might agree and say that pushing the deadline date about a week sooner is possible.

Teams that forefit a match also forefit their TV money that week (so at least they will have players and not wreck others training)

Can't agree with that. There's two kind of forfeits. Playing with low quality players - that type of forfeit is not possible to trace.
Forfeiting by not setting a lineup is annoying but it can happen to users by accident as well. (Not sending lineups in time...) I don't think they should be punished more then they do now (Getting a *, Losing to game, not getting minutes...)

Teams don't get TV money in weeks they don't have a competitive game. (This will make 5th a lot less attractive.)

Very much agree - I think we should be more harsh and even drop merchandise income...

1. Not related to this subject and I'm not sure if the number (2/3) is the right choice but I like the idea.
2 and 3. It's one or the other in my opinion. And I'm more for the third one. Let's say something like if you forfeit or lose by more than 50 points, you lose TV contract and income from your arena (It's PO or PD so you earn something).
I think it could be the best way to avoid this kind of situation. If it's setup over the season too, it would avoid team with 7 players which send incas in order to play the cup (but I doubt a lot of you would be pleased by this solution and it's not the subject here :p)
@Ehud : Everyone must setup a default roster so you will never forfeit.
4. Indeed, a good idea. You don't earn money and you don't lose one. A fair suggestion

When you check the pool, it's surprising to see so much people don't care about it :(
