Ya man, no doubt ur gonna have a hard time this season, D3 is a totally diff monster. No matter what, u know the game well and know u need to build a lot, so I think u got a good chance of surviving and in the worst case scenario ull relegate and promote right back up. Happy u promoted so quickly, sad to not have u on the league anymore, a D3 team joined the league and is tough as nails, will prolly promote again.

I dont plan on promoting til at least (best case scenario) next season so my arena will be way bigger by the time I promote, whenever that happens...

Ur arena is looking great, tons of seats... still think u overbuilt LT for now, but at least it's ready for the future, just gotta keep building bleachers and by the end of the season it'll be D3 ready no doubt...

Reading this post just gave me a reality check. Just dumped 315K to add 1300 seats to my 6640 capacity I already have. I was going to invest in a better SF but until I lose in the Cup my squad shot be fine. I will just bank up money and then possibly make a run at SF after the All-Star Break.

This is going to be a rough year just hoping to be in 5th or win a regulation series. Started on the right foot with a victory tonight.

Ya, 6.6k is very small for D3, I still think arena is a much better investment than any player...

yup it is........

I still think twice 6.6k is worth it for D3....this is

I mean if you want to compete right away, 14k is the sweet spot

if you're looking to get 5th Place or win an easy relegation series, 12k is more optimal.

Ya, at least 10k for D3, I'd say 12k+ is good... Tough to compete with only 6.6k

Building in my book is a double edged sword, because so much get affected by how much you charge. Currently I sit at 9810 with 9000 of those seats in the bleachers at 10 a pop. Conversely the guy with the smallest arena has 6k bleachers being sold at eighteen bucks a pop, so if we both sell out he will make 6k more than I. I think this game has an internal balance that will only allow you to make so much per level. But the big advantage to building up the arena is to prepare for the future.

Right now I get 140K from attendance with 6.6K being able to seat in my area. I currently make 50K a week with 20k going to scouting. So really I am making 70K. That means I have enough room to get two guys for 25K and break even or one guy with about 35K that way I am still making some change. Once I am out of the tourney I will look to buy another player to help with the regulation series run.

If you are:
A) Making money
and
B) rocking a 6640-seat arena in III
then
C) Take that money and buy seats in your arena ASAP!

Especially while the promotion bonus is active. The first two thirds of the season after a promotion is heaven on earth, other than having to play the bastardos that might litter your league. Heaven forbid you end up holding down a mid-table position in the league routinely, because fans don't like to come see a fifth place team.

Yup, its all about planning for the future...

Still, about selling seats has a lot to do with ur prices and how ur doing that season, kinda obvious... Doesnt really have to do with arena size... It is annoying to have a huge arena and not be selling out, but if ur having a tough season, u have to lower prices, always good to be selling out...
