You can never be sure because Nippon players just seem to always go for more than they are worth.

12/28/2012 - Kyoto Shogun has just acquired Eita Wakatsuki for $ 2 606 500.

I really took one for the team tonight. I was interested but not near that much. However this team from Sweden that has a pattern of buying young elite players for $2 million & selling them a couple of seasons later for $1 million (having not trained them) was winning the bid & I just couldn't let them win so we got into a stupid bid war. This was not in my plan. I was happy with my 3 trainees. Now I have 4 & have to make some big changes. Sorry but I couldn't let another NT prospect be wrecked (unless I end up wrecking him).

Nippon vs. Venezuela 82 - 117 (22539)

A bad loss but they put more effort in & do have some good players. Were we playing with enthusiasm 5 or 3, hard to tell. The silence from BBking is deafining. What is our team going to do when Furusawa turns 33 in 2 seasons, right now we are alomst a 1 man team.

Wow... kudos to you for doing that LT. Definitely paid more for him than he's worth.

Given some of the big men coming through, I hazard a guess that in 2-3 seasons, we'll be in a better position than we are now. At least... bigs-wise.

And on the manager. Calm down dude, it's Christmas/New Year. Not every nation is as laid-back about this time of year as Japan is.

I will try and find someone to buy Nishimura. He should be the odd man out...I really think with some TLC, Wakatsuki could be good. He has the high secondaries for some elastic effect for some OD work...look at Asano..tremendous Driving and Handles and 15 ID and his OD popped again today...(And Asano is 25)
Wolph taught me about the elastic effect...gotta give props...he changed a myth into reality.
BTW..Furusawa's days are numbers...You have my two bigs, Malice's K-Mart and Swoosh's Yasujiro and Takayama(in the bin..low passing and OD)....I think Japan will be good in the BIG department for years to come.

That is great and if I do stick with this guy he can make it some day too although he has his issues as well. For now Tk can miss out a bit, he is nearly capped anyway so it wont matter if he takes a few weeks off while I decide.

Österreich vs. Nippon 112 - 95 (22582)

Another bad loss to a team rated 10 worse than us. In the standings now we are right down the bottom with teams like Bahamas, Barbados & Tounes. All you guys still applauding the great job that is being done?

Yet again, half a story - because the full story wouldn't suit your purposes.
Come on man, what about enthusiasm?

Perhaps you should read up on the World Rankings. (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/World/rankings.aspx)
39th is a pretty good ranking. How does that stack up against prior NT we've trotted out?

The reality is that Japan have a way to go before we're going to be able to match it against the big boys... I'm not sure that the current manager will take us there, but he's far better than you (and a lot of others) are giving him credit for.
