im just curious coach regan about the thing that you mentioned of teams running their economy to huge losses per week just to promote. what if your balance is so far the negative , lets say above 700k and even near 1M, what happens to your team, does it get bankrupt and you become a bot?

if your bank balance is negative yes

If your weekly loss is $1m? no

eg: lets say my bank balance is $50m. i can run a negative weekly balance of $1m for 50 weeks before i lose all my money.

So generally, what teams do, is tank, save up a few million (eg: In the top division you can save approx $2m in one season by salary floor, no staff, no building arena, low merch etc etc). Then run at a loss the entire following season.

ah ok. yer there are rules regarding debt, which is quoted from the game manual here

If you go into debt, you will be charged a 5% penalty each week until you are positive again at the time of a economic update. If your account is below -$500,000 at the time of a weekly economic update, you are given two weeks to bring your account back above -$500,000 for an economic update before your key players will be put on the transfer list automatically with a starting price of $0. If, after your players are sold, you are still not above -$500,000, you will be fired as the manager at the next economic update. Debt and bankruptcy are the first items calculated in the economic update each week. "Available cash after bids" does not count as money for the purposes of computing bankruptcy or the 5% interest penalty on a negative balance. Players must sell prior to the weekly economic update for these credits to pull you out of bankruptcy.

i dont think that i edited it, but lets say for the sake of your sanity that i did and forgot that i did;

but that is exactly my point, i as a noob dont like the overextension tax benefit for two reasons, one; i never use it, once my profit went under 30k a week and i immediately looked for help on how to change that, and two; its too early for me to use the overextension tax even if i wanted to use it, i play a few strategy games, but in most games their is benefit in training up your own players and for me that is the most rewarding part, it just seems like that takes so long here that its easier to just buy decent players and use them, i was thinking with my salary idea that you could just have a loyalty bonus for the players that you drafted/trained

well i guess what i was getting at, is that there is already a merchandise bonus for loyalty, based on the fan survey.

Lets say in your economic statement, it had a breakdown of your weekly Merchandise. If you knew that X% of it was a direct result of the "I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred" question - then there is your loyalty bonus right there!

so that happens now, its just that we don't see it. Id personally just like to see the economic breakdown. if I knew that 25% of my merchandise was from loyalty, id probably be more inclined to keep my players.

I never get that bonus, because I buy and sell my other players, I never put my core trainees on the block but I do put other players there so I never get that bonus either, maybe there should be a way where you can choose who your core players are at the beginning of the season?

I think personally, this is a bit broken in my opinion.

For instance, this week i got 2 and a half balls. Last week I sold a trainee. prior to that i sold trainee's. Prior to that, i sold a guy who was a star player, but in June - 6 weeks ago.

Prior to that, it was 3 months before i sold a star player. I have had 1 star player on the market maybe once or twice, but didnt sell, so i think that makes a difference as well.

So in all honesty, since march, ive sold 2 'star' players and twice attempted to sell..... Yet i only get a 2.5 rating in the fan survey - and its been consistently this rating all this season.

Which in my opinion, is bollox.

again just my point, i dont think i have sold anyone yet this season (though i will this time because i have one bid) but i commonly list players on the market, it has been at a half star since the season started, so again this is why i think salary should be changed for drafted/trained players

it has been at a half star since the season started,

woah!

this would suggest that even listing players has a massive effect on this rating.

I knew it had an effect, but half a star! das poor!
