Well, it depends on what are you planing to make out of that player. If that's going to be an outside oriented SF, but you'd still would like to play LI, then IS is something that you really need. If not, I don't see the need to have it bigger than you have.
For example I have a PG, that I trained myself - JS 15 JR 12 OD 15 HA 13 DR 14 PA 12 IS 3
He plays for SG, and his average FG is 45.5%. And when playing LI... It's 41.6%.
So, there is no big need to pop that IS to 7-8, which would take you forever;)
