yer agreed, the system is obviously based heavily on number of wins - i think tannums dominance is reflected there and then the closeness of the rest of the teams - 3 wins separating 8 teams.....i think is how we got so many other players with votes.
but i don't get it.
Maldonado got 31 '1st' votes - which I reckon means 31 out of 32 voters, think he was the best player in the league. Statistically, outside of rebounding, he isn't in the top 10 for any other stat. Compare that to gozzi, who is in top 10 for points, steals, assists, rating, etc etc.
not saying tannum isn't deserving of the MVP award from someone on his team, but certainly i think its totally flawed.
