Balance. Flexibility.

There is a time to be proactive and there is a time to be reactive, and you have to be ready for both. You may plan to enlarge your arena, but you better know what your roster needs at the same time, and if that right player appears at a reasonable price, jump at the chance. And when there is no pressing roster need and no player at a reasonable price, be prepared for the next step in arena building.

Tip #2: Build your arena on an "as needed basis". I see that you've read some threads saying you should build your arena ASAP. While this is not bad advice it may not be the best possible way to build.
ROFLMFAO. Exactly what I said. So I guess don't listen to this yahoo, either.

Let me see if I understand you correctly, dude:
- Jungle Fever (23571) (that'd be your team for everyone's benefit): 20050 capacity, last game takings: $ 162 557
- Gurus Angels (30251) (team in your conference): 10080 capacity, last game takings: $ 188 530
- Portland Porcupines (29331) (team in your conference): 11441 capacity, last game $ 181 146
- Wartham Celtic Warriors (23952) (team, yes you guessed it, another in your conference!): 12361 capacity, $191 090 gates

Math is tuff uh? Seems like that 20k arena is really helping you in yoyoing between D3s and D4s.

Don't forget to take your own advice mate: remember to lower the prices, so that maybe you'll match the gate receipts of the guys with the smallest arenas in your conference...maybe you can finally hit $1 price on bleachers next season with the demotion penalty: who knows where those negative elasticity theories can take you!!

Actually math is pretty easy. This post almost made me forget that I'm tanking and that I'm profiting 140k a week.
God job on doing the research for me though. I appreciate it (y)
Ouch, I thought you were here supporting the crusade for large arenas at lower division levels and trying to prove it to us...by example. Sorry, my mistake, it must have been somebody else :P

My pleasure doing the research anyway. I took me about 5 minutes, so it was actually pretty easy!

For everybody else not named DRoss, and that includes Mike Franks, it would be a step in the right direction if you could provide evidence with examples and numbers to support your points. Since this is easily measurable, I don't see why you shouldn't. And please spare us the "I'm tanking" "I'm going for draft picks" "I have a terrible PR" excuses. In this game there are plenty of users who are training and choose not to (or are not able to) be competitive and besides 2 of the teams in DRoss conference I linked have a 4-6 record. If larger arenas give you more money everything else being the same, then it should be easy to support with data.

This should be discussed before we even get to the point of discussing what managers should do with their money.
