In any case the debate here is misguided: no changes have been made to JR effectiveness (that we know of...it's possible that Marin has done some secret modifications like he did in the past). This is NOT the same as SB.

Therefore real question is whether higher JR was working in the past or not. And in case it was, whether it worked better than spending the training on flow. After all, even if it's cheaper, if it's not as useful as other skills then the discussion becomes pointless very quickly.

My personal experience from Utopia is that 17-14 (Surental Lakers had a player like that with low-ish OD/PA for the last 2 seasons and he played outside tactics) still did not do well against 16OD. Nachmahr's best shooter is played at SF. I suppose he could play patient on mismatches all day long and have equal or better success than the R&G he's running. In the end it has to be proved at higher levels. And at the top level where 18+ OD is normal, how much JR (and JS) do you actually need to have in order for it to work?

As things stand, we have all seen Saur0n's players. They were not outside oriented of course. We also know that some managers tried to win with high SB and uber guards. That was not cost efficient and they got hammered economically (and tanked after a few runs). More importantly, they did not win. It might be they were unlucky, it might be that now those uber guards are a bit cheaper, it might be that there will be a little more customisation for outside guards in the future, but until someone succeeds we have no guarantee it might work.

I wish I could build such a team in the future, but I'm lacking the right trainees for it currently.
There's always the transfer market.
