The thing I hate the most about LI is the wide spread "truth" that we see every day in this game that tells everyone that you have got to use LI to win at every level of competition in this game. I'm doing my best to try and prove that this is absolutely nonsense. What I don't like either is that no matter how well I show you actually can win with another tactic the skills and salary system seems a bit designed to make it very easy to build for LI. High IS and RB bigs and high OD, DR and IS guards and your there. 5 skills to train in total as a bare minimum. If you look at a outside focused team you need RB, ID and SB on your bigs. And all six guard skills. So 9 vs the 5 that LI needs. I'm gonna keep training players for anything but LI in my main team for as long as I keep playing this game and hope that more people try something else then LI and that more changes are made to make it easier for managers trying to play without using LI. I can't say I know of anyone who left the game because of LI, but I sure have changed my way to play this game because of it.
Well the LI "dominance" is one of many problems this game has. To an extent it is a manager made problem but then again not as i explained in my earlier post.If you want to read some more about playing this game in a different way there are some reading to be done in this thread that i started some seasons ago: (262742.1)I hope you find something interesting in that thread that perhaps makes you and others think another step before deciding to go all in on LI.
I agree that when you have a good outside shooting situation it always feels like your team wont shoot outside often enough or get the ball to the right guys.Maybe this is a PA issue though??I don't know though how this could be adjusted...in most cases outside is a big mistake so teams favoring inside selection is good for your team.
