I'm still not convinced about Canada's I.1. Joel Bussières
(373506) was 4th in scoring and 2nd in assists (and I know as his NT manager that his defense isn't a deal-breaker). My own similar player, Ken Simons, was lower in raw averages in both scoring and assists (I think a bit above in per-minute in scoring, still well below in assists), and finished third.
If I was being objective, I think Bussières should be ahead of Simons, or at least in his neighbourhood. No votes at all is hard to explain.
No other players from Bussières' team are in the voting (although they probably don't deserve to be).
Anyway, if everyone made a case like this, you'd be checking MVP votes forever, so if you want to drop this, go ahead.
