first thing i thought about was that i was glad I upgraded (sold weaker players, added younger starters) recently cause i'll be a lot more cautious listing players now.

there's been a lot of people listing players over and over at high prices, this should put a big dent into those.

there is value out there if you look at the dross that changes hands for 500k nowadays.. the 2mil players IMO are worth 2mil but how many teams actually have the cash to splash out the 2mil?

despite getting a leg up in the game for DT for a while Im growing more and more attached to my players (and looks like i'll be getting even more attached!!)

it will be an interesting week i think before the change is implemented... a lot of dead wood appearing on the market and at the end hopefully a more settled market with roster consistency....

I really appreciate the intention but i think BB's have chosen a wrong way:

First: Day traders don't use the players so a drop in GS won't hurt them, the player value would drop a little but that's not really a problem. On the other hand many managers are focused on matches, training and winning and less on the market (or they are rookies) that will be a real problem: if they put a minimun too high they will get a GS drop (even if they just try to sell one or two players per season) so they will put a low minimun for daytraders benefit.

Second: The income for daytrading is far greater than arena income: they can have 0 season ticket holders and don't be hurt at all, but for a team that want to sell several players (eg: changing training and/or playing style as I'm planning to do) that will be painful

Since I learned last season not to sell just after the draft (yes the hard way ), I was waiting two or three weeks for selling my centers and PF's , but now i can't
I just have two options:
a) sell now with thousands of teams doing the same <ironic>daytraders will be really dissapointed with this market flood</ironic>
b)keep my plans and sell after may 15th and lose my fans

Well, I know i'm so dammed good playing at this that BB's have to do their best to put me in trouble. Congratulations: you made it

and lots of good players sold a very low prices because of there are not enough cash for buying them all.
Mmm let me think.. who have got tons of cash and will benefit for this flood? day traders
Free agents floods have taught nothing?

And you really have a point for complaining...

And has it been decided if the Weds games will be played Arcade style or with mins/money counting towards training.. as if this is the case then alot of teams will need bigger rosters (well I will!)

And which Weds will it start - how are opponents chosen...

I hope that if arcade then all games can be considered to be played on a Neutral ground.....as the luck of the draw would play a major factor especially in the later rounds...

hey - i'm a retired DT.... unofficially!

next week by the looks of it we can ALL officially retire... still cant work out if this will be inflationary or deflationary moving forward...

i guess the answer to this is more linked to the potential and the corresponding soft caps for skills.... so we are all still shooting in the dark!!

IMO this system won't bring desired results:
we will see more players with same high price but atrocious GS
daytraiders will be daytraiding players with atrocious GS
daytraiding can bring more money than tickets
