Even in d2 where I am now, I wouldn't want a starter with less than 15 SB. (Excepting trainees of course).

And what other skills are you willing to sacrifice for having so much SB?

So much? 15 is not a lot. My current C (bought) has 17. I don't think sacrifice is the best word. Its not really sacrificing something when you replace it with better. You're not giving up hamburger if you're dining on steak.

SB costs salary. There is only a certain amount of salary you can afford before it is unsustainable. In the context of sacrifice, if you have bigs with high SB then usually you have to get less of other skills to be salary efficient.

The normal meta is to go big in the usual 3 suspects, ID/IS/REB. I believe his question is asking how much of those stats should you swap for SB.

The "usual" skill set is strangely the most expensive one as well. All other setups of inside skills is a lot cheaper.

It may be cheaper, but unfortunately it's a hell of a lot better defensively too.

That offense thing, well, that's a different problem.

My solution for this is him:

Otto "Sunblocker" Sonnemans (36936952)

I bought him after he was drafted with 19 years. His PA and RB were at 1! He was the only one with such a great skillset and the needed potential. He is now at 130 TSP, without PA and RB at 120.
I deceided to go with 7 primar skills and none of these 7 skills is lower than 15. The RB problem was solved with a ID/SB/RB Center. I surrounded Sonnemans with three other shooters and started running. All four have a 3pt% of at least 47%! (all four have JS 15 or higher ) Their FG% is at 45% and higher.

Sonnemans 47% 3pt is the third highest in the league. And he was again the best shot blocker in Germany (nr. 7 worldwide). My opinion is, if you don't have enough capspace, skip PA and RB at such a player. This will keep him cheap and you have an offense and defense machine at the same time.
