Nigeria - South Africa 125 - 122

A dissapointing loss, still a close one. The game was going well and we had through the first 3 quarters a minimal advantage from the first quarter, but in the final one they showed their superiority. The one thing that worries me is that they playerd tie all the games and now they would have like over 10 enthusiams (like Brasil did in the last season and made it to the semifinals)meaning they played like a normal game with us still i played ct and still we didnt won.
Still we are in the first position and I hope we remain there.
Tom

Why is SA ranked #61 in the world? You're winning many more games than we did in the last world championship qualifying, and the team is ranked about 30 places below where it was. Is there a possible problem with the world rankings?

Just curious.

Tom, you're doing a great job with the team. It's good to see that. Let's see if we can pull off the upset against Nigeria in the 2nd half of the round robin.

hi there amigo! Long time no seen ;) yes the word ranking is really messed up lots of NT managers are confused with it. The only thing i can think of is that the points that were won 2 seasons ago dissapear each week and since that was the begining of buzzerbeater every team had the same value so even if u lost a game back then u still won lets say 4 points out of 10 but now when i play against a African team which is rank 60 lets say i win only 6 points from 10 because of the lower position of African teams... or this is what I can come with anyway... so buttom line is that maybe the GM will change the system because it's really weird.

And about the game with Nigeria I really hope I can pull a win. Their manager is still the player who reached BBB finals and he sure is a deim good one. He TIC ed every team and has probably an enthusiasm over 12 I hope we will manage to get a good entusiasm when I'll have the rematch.

I really think South Africa can gen into the World Cup and I will do my best that to happen ;)

Yes, I'm still hanging around.

Has Nigeria really PIC'd every match? Wow. Mr Burns is one devil of a manager...and Nigeria is a force.

If that's the case, maybe we should concentrate on the Tounes game instead?

hey man how you doing? :)
Nigeria is a good team and Mr Burns is a badass ;)
If you were to ask me I think the game against Tounes must be won by all cost, Tom managed to beat him although they put more into that game still... we have to be cautious because they have a good team all around
How is the South African player you brought doing there? :D
Good to hear from ya!

The South African player I bought...well, I've had difficulty getting him minutes. I'm about to sell one of my longtime (3 season) trainees, so some more playing time will be available to him.

If you guys know of any young SA big men who need training, please let me know. I've got about $1M in the bank that's burning a hole in my pocket.

Hmm indeed the player you have has no chance to make it to the NT.. but if you want tell me what position you are training and I will search for a youngster for you to train ;) Also the drafts are closer and closer it's your decision whether you want to wait for the drafts or I'm going to search for a player asap :)

As you can see African competition is quite unbalanced atm with 3 teams having the same match wins and the other 3...well the same match losses. South Africa, Tounis and Nigeria will fight the 1st and 2nd places and it depends alot what is Tounis and Nigeria direct match going to look like, for me to take a decision regarding focusing with Nigeria or Tounis.

I'm still training C/PF in all big men skills. Let me know if there are any prospects out there in need of training.
