The runner-up team does win something. They win the 2nd place, and they even get a trophy to show for it.

Meanwhile the NTs have nothing to do with the B3 or the user's club.

And the choice of the Cup runner-up over the League runner-up is due to the fact that the League runner-up is basically a conference champion who might not even be the 2nd best team in the league. It is much better to assign the second spot in the B3 to a position where any team can reach (Cup runner-up) than to another that only 8 teams can reach (one side of the div I league).

In my opinion, only winners should go to the BBB. The BBB is a competition between the best teams, the teams that won something, not the runner ups.
Therefore, if a team won both the league and the cup, it should be the only team of that country to go to the BBB.

Yeah right, and the Champions League is filled with just the national league soccer champions of Europe and none of them became champs undeserved.... If B3 is only for the best teams in the world, why invite teams from, lets say Equator and Dominican Republic (no offense)? I think the current method of league champions and cup winners/runners up is a fair one. If you have made it all the way thru the knock out systeem only to lose against the national champion (to be), you must have a pretty decent team... What I don't understand is why NT coaches should get an B3 invitation (if they do, I am not sure about that) for their club for achievements they made with the NT team. Those are 2 seperate things in my opinion.

Yeah, but except the champion and a Cup runner-up, the best 3 or 4 clubs from the first league goes to European club competitions...

cup-runner-up is most heavily to win, because on lose and you don't have chance, also there can win more club than in DI, cup can win all division teams, so I think win 2nd place in cup, are better than win DI 2nd place, and Cup get very little money in different than you are winning all games in DI

maybe in your country yes, but in lithuania in later rounds everybody want win and started crunching biggers clubs.
