do you think it makes sense to add that capability? teams in the nba hire multiple coaches to focus on different elements of the game, perhaps each player can only work with one coach at a time and coaches will be less effective when training more players?

no ;)

Players in the NBA don't develope that fast, and when you make it even faster, in training the team without bad effect it would be bad,

i'm not necessarily saying training should be faster, i think that the current system promotes teams to focus training on either inside or outside, but to more closely mirror real life (this is a simulation afterall) the training system should encourage teams to develop their teams more evenly. in the current system it makes no sense to field both young inside and outside players because there is a high opportunity cost associated with training. a player (starting at age 18) really only has 3 very productive years of training (according to the boards) and thus a very limited number of available training sessions. fielding multiple young players at varying positions makes it nearly impossible to get any of your players playing at a high level. in reality there are very successful teams that have great inside and outside prospects because real teams can hire multiple trainers.

when you slow down training with more position the situation would be the same, because young player have a high value because their development potential which you should use ;)

And i won't say that they only got 3 potential years, maybe when you train centeras at single position in their a-skill, but that is a potential think ;)

And this is a game afterall, you could have complete draft and nearly no movement, to make it more realistic but did you like it?

hey mate.

Have you scouted the top teams in the top countries? The ones that have played for 5-6-7 seasons? Look at their team rating, you will see that they are all high.

You read the forums well it seems, but miss the main thing...

If you train your trainees well, they will sell well. With the money you can buy players for positions that you need and that you cant train. I think you are wrong with the NBA or other basketball leagues, when it comes to training.

They barely train. And the few hours that they do train, I am sure they cant train all the skills they need to play. So even the best teams in the NBA will only train the things in which the trainer feels they need to become better.

Secondly, we start training players at the age off 18. I haven´t seen any players in the NBA below 22 or 23 that really do make a difference for their team. (off course there are always exceptions). I cant see a FUN way to get readily made players and to minimalise the training. Or make it easier to train your players. That is what makes this game so much fun for me. See your players grow in skill and build a team and tactics for the future.

In this game your players will be very very good and multi talented once they are 22 or 23. You can than swap training if you like.

And my last note is, many players in the NBA are one sided players. I dont see Chris Bosh or Shaquil O´Neal do well as point guard. I also don´t think Nash or Bibby would pull many rebounds as Centers. Simply because they are not equipped for those positions... Oh to make it even more extreme, the Knicks and the Warriors always run and gun. (or what ever it is called, they always shoot as much as they can). Their team is build around that principle. Here you can see again, that it is hard and the trainers decision to get more balanced players or concentrate more on extreme play styles...
