Guess I should train outside defense instead. Something not possible for SG/SF anyway. A bit doubtful that SF need a lot of outside defense though and I try to combine those positions ...

can you not train (let him play) your SF in a guard position so he gets training??

That is exactly what I am doing

But important that I train something that benefits both SF's and SG's as I train both those positions. If SF has little use of outside defense then I should try something else. I will train this two positions this season but not sure how I will continue. A bit tempting to train SF and PF for next season but partly depends on what drafts I will have of course.

like i said, no skill is useless.if you play 3-2 (if i understan it correctly) your SF helps increase your perimeter defense and than having an OD skill definatelly helps!!!.

If you plan to play 2-3 than your SF will help more out rebounding and inside defending. so it all depends what tactics you are going to use...

and yes it is a bit tempting to swatch training other positions. but train 2 positions for 2 years and train other positions for 2 years you surely will have a squad off decent players. train 2 positions for 4 years and you might have developed a few all stars or mvp´s
