If there are no meaningful games after Italy, then team enthusiasm shouldn't matter and it would allow you to save players on a weekly basis as you would be able to drop them from the team after saving them from inactive teams.

Saving 18/19 year olds with superstar potential or higher, are more valuable to Canadian community than the NT's team enthusiasm or results in exhibition games.

This season, the onus should fall on the NT manager to save the youths once you are out of contention for the World Championships... and next season, the onus should fall on the U-21 manager to save the youths should they fail to qualify for the U-21 World Championships.

Just curious, what kind of play are you talking about here? Like a center with over 7K salary? It really depends on how good he is and what we seem to need (which i think is big men). Although i'm sure, as many people have already discussed, there is not much of a downside other then if the manager logs back on. What is the players salary??

If you are wondering when to add the player (the week before his team becomes computerized) then you should watch the team T.O Finest.

T.O Finest will go inactive exactly one week before (7971517)'s team goes inactive. Therefore, when T.O Finest goes inactive, then you will have a week to add (7971517).

Also, that team also has (7971507), that should may be worth saving since few teams seem to be developing Canadian PGs.

according to Charles (73010.1), teams go inactive after 5 weeks, which is the case with Essa's team. Is there a GM to contact to ensure that Essa can be put on the tl Sunday/Monday instead of waiting around until someone feels like cleaning out the lower division Canadian teams? I think Mr. Burns has been active in the past to get players released as free agents immediately after their 5 weeks of inactivity are up for the Nigeria NT.

I hate to disagree with Charles, but the owner of the team mentioned above, TO Finest (25006), has not logged in for 42 days. Even if you consider that teams are not set to go inactive until after the economic update, according to a "5 week rule" he would have gone bot on Monday.

Nothing official, but what I have heard is that teams do not go bot until after 7 weeks. I suggest doing what was said above and see when TO Finest goes bot (assuming the owner does not log back in). But if you want to be safe, add him to the team now.

As far as I know, there is nothing that a GM can do to make sure that players get released. It is an automated process and nothing can be done to speed it up. I will ask Juice to confirm.

Ok, so Juice thought the inactivity line was 5 weeks but I sent him my counterexample and he said:

Good question.

Could be 6 or 7 now, and I'm wrong as usual

Safe to say that no one knows for sure. But if I was you, I would not take any chances. Maybe some teams are sneaking past the date for some reason.

Also, I was wrong. GMs can email the BBs to tell them that a team is about to go inactive and that there is an NT player on it.

So - RIP, once you have added the player to the team, let me know. The sooner the better, in my opinion.

Ok, so Juice also is of the opinion that 5 weeks is the inactivity line. I sent him my counter-example and I'll see what he says.

RIP is one step ahead - Essa is already on team Canada. That would be great to get him released in time for the next free agent release.

I did not notice that. I'll send the email right now.

Thanks for your suggestion, by the way. I learn something new every time I log in.
