I know you brought this up in another thread, but wanted to clarify here. If you sell your player overpriced, you will be fined for the amount over market-value.

Hypothetically, if you pay 1m more then market value for a player and sell your player for 1m over market value, you will be overpaying by 1m for the incoming player and then be fined 1m for your outgoing player. If it's worth it to overpay market-value and then be fined for it, that's not just against the rules, it's bad management.

Maybe if there is a red flag deal where players are exchanged between teams for over market value (which is tough to define in cases of the highest end players I imagine) the players should be made free agents, and the money lost forever. This would end trading pretty abruptly. I don't know how big a problem it is or how seriously the BB's/GM's are about containing it, but removing the players in question from the teams in question would probably halt the activity.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

brian-I understand 100%. And you are correct that it is bad management.

Rest assured I would never ever do that. I play this game for fun, trying to build the "perfect" team and see how far up the ladder I can go.

If I lose a player I will just move on to the next player. Life is way too short to go around playing internet cop and even reporting what could be bad transfer prices. That's you guy's job:). How one determines fair market value is another story, but, again-that's your job:)

What is unfortunate though is that it is a pretty big loophole that a certain segment of the population will attempt to exploit. There are those kinds of players in every fantasy game. And the only way to bring it to your attention is to either win the bid and get fined, or lose the bid and wish you guys luck determining if its fair.

As I said, life is way too short.

Every sincere report helps to keep this game clean. There wouldn't be a Report cheaters tool if this wasn't the case.

The more high bid trading that goes on, the more the market appears to gain in inflation. The trades not only cause a collusive teaming of two or more teams, they raise the prices on all of us for legitimate transfers. I think more severe punishment for obvious cases should be considered. The loss of dual overpriced players to free agency plus the cash spent seems an adequate deterent. Only those with collusive intentions should oppose this.

Now you are hitting the nail right on the head....

TPE's are always susceptible to a cheating bid that distorts the numbers until that trade is effectively flushed out of the system.... if others are compelled to try and sabotage a trade (and fail) all this does is artificially inflate similar players TPE's which hurts the more casual user.

Booting off players to Free Agents is effectively showing everyone in the BB community that these teams got caught whereas a fine is taken care of behind the scenes.... sadly though in the case of the fine the players still end up with their intended clubs.... the only hope is that the fine is severe enough for them to have to list other players in order to keep the balance economically... still this doesnt solve the fact that the traded players destiny is already pre-set at the point of listing.

well no surprise the 2 players in question found their way to their intended homes.

I assume we just have to hope that the 'official transfer police' feel the same way and enough people took the time to mention it.
