Your trainees:

As I can see you have two good trainees for PF and C (Forrest and Fasoulas); if you buy new player have a look at the potential, but at the height, too! You bought one player as a PF, who is only 203cm heigh; that means that it will take longer time/training for him to learn inside-skills like inside-scoring.

Enough for today ;-) and... just ask if you have questions!

Thanks for the very detailed replies, with help as good as this I'll pick this game up in no time! :)

Heheh, was wondering why the 203cm player was so cheap! I read about how height effects training speed before I bought him, guess I need to adjust my idea of 'tall'. ;)

Roughly what height players should I be trying to get for PF & C as trainees?

1. 48 mins for game shape is the least. My trainees play 48 mins every week (when is possible without fouls, injuries and another problems) and their game shape are respectable or more.

2. Yes, you should have 3 trainees for position (without fouls, injuries and..)!

3. Many skills are important for BB players:
Point guard: driving, outside def, passing, handling, jump shot, jump range
Shooting guard: jump range, jumpe shot, outside def., driving, handling, passing
Small forward: Jump shot, inside shot, outside def., rebounding, inside def., jump range
Power forward: Inside shot, reboungind, inside def, jump shot, shot blocking
Center: inside shot, rebouding, inside def., shot blocking.
Rebounding and passing are important for the whole team.

The taller he is, the faster he will train in inside skills.. If I had to train PF or C I will stop at 208cm..

if possible even a bit taller.

but I think it's easier to get a taller player than a player with high potential; cause the most of the new managers just/ too much look at the potential.

For C and PF with high skills potential is very important because the slowdown is very visible, if you want train them for more time.

honestly, i have to say i don't think the size of the player is that important.

i trained a 201 cm guy for three seasons as an inside player and i didn't discover any remarkable differences in training speed in comparison to my taller trainees.
so i think the training speed differences caused by size are very small, if your player isn't like 188 cm tall.

in my opinion for inside training everything above 200 cm is fine and for guard training everything below 200cm.
but as i wrote: just my opinion :-)

One thing which doesn't make sense to me yet is the 'best position' for each player.

Does this change as a players skills change with training? Or does it stay the same throughout a players career?

Does it have any effect in a match? Or on training?

Cheers! :)

The shown "best position" is just a "hint" for you. It has no effect on training/match!

=> It can change after training (f.ex. a SF which gets Inside-training will be -after a time- a PF)

=> Sometimes/Often it's better, when a player doesn't play on his "best position" (f.ex., when you play 2-3 and Look-Inside, than it makes sense that a PF plays on the SF-position)

I suggest to invest at least 20k since it is already late in the season and you need to get information quickly. It should be worth it because you got the chance to draft high potentials.
