I don't see what the problem is -- if you're winning a lot, and he isn't, you're receiving way more money from gate receipts.

Well, No again. We have both had one game in the new season. His gate got him 440602$ I got 4000 less. That amazes me as I (sorry for repeating myself) won the double last season and he won nothing.

I don't know about the new season.

But let me reinforce: if you eliminate this guy in the semifinals and you beat him in the Cup final, this should be $1,000,000 extra income for you -- $300,000 from the Cup final, and ~$700,000 from the 2 home games in the league final.

Do you find this insufficient?

Well 1mill now a days aint much. So yes, I find insufficient, and I only got 1 finals home game. I can understand that you dont agree, and that's all right. But I still think that it does not add up after winning the double for 3 straight seasons.

My position on the situation is that top teams shouldn't be allowed to become exponentially better by brute force (which means by gaining heaps of new income), so that the runners-up have a chance to catch up with them. It's a critical playability component.

been following the discussion and I must say I agree with you, especially this last post. Teams should have a chance to catch up, it makes it more interesting for them and for the winners that must work to stay on top.

But that is not only a revenue question. It also takes alot of work and skill to become champ and a top team. There must be some sort of reward for it. You can fight your way up also by making sound trade investmensts and managing your staff and player saleries well. Buy cheap and sell expencive.

If your competitors do get the impression they can by no means catch up with you, what do you think they gonna do? What would you do if there is no way to win? You might think stop playing, right? So in case you prefer to have some leaguemates...this might be your reward!

Well I started from the lowest lvl at the time and fought my way up. Others can do the same. I have been a montor to several players in Denmark and most of them are in the DBL og div. 1 now. Thats my way of making a balance for other teams.

You are far and away the best team in your country. What I don't understand is why you're whining about $4,000 when you said $1M wasn't much these days. If 1M isn't worth much, then why is 4K?

I'm not whining over 4K, you did not get it at all! I was telling about the difference. Another guy in the post said I was getting alot more in the gate, but as a matter of fact, I got 4k less than the guy that did not win anything. Get it straight!

In one game, maybe. In the end of the season, the overall sum can be close to a million, and definitely over $500,000.

You think this is not enough, and you're entitled to your opinion -- though I am afraid a reform which will allow you to swim in rivers of gold is not likely :-/

Well, at least we can agree that it is ok to disagree. If we look at the point, I don't think it is realistic with then fan/attendance balance when taking winning into concideration. This is what BB want's in the end:
Thank you for your patience as we worked out the bugs and continue to improve the biggest and most realistic massively multiplayer basketball simulation on the net
In real competition, it would be different, thus this part is not real.

However, I really enjoy this game and respect others oppinion on the subject. And I do agree that there should be a balance to make it competetive. But please remember that I did not start off with more money than other teams. I'm running a successfull team and that takes alot. Not only winning every season gives me that edge, good teams must have a chance to improve as well as the lesser teams.
