Winning gene...the ESPN level analysis is hilarious, go watch more first take please. I guess Melo lacked the winning gene at Syracuse where he led them to the national championship as a freshman. I guess Melo lacked the winning gene when he consistently was the nuggets best player early in his career, go look at the numbers the man was putting up, its unbelievable how much he was carrying an nba franchise at such a young age. Or instead of just what random people on the internet think, listen to what one of the greatest players of all time thinks of melo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koVnmV6JN48

Its fucking sad the reputation melo has because of people like you.

Well you'd be pleased to learn that the person you're writing to died IRL close to a year ago...

Serves her right, go Melo!!! /s

Not trying to start a fight but this response strikes me as awfully insensitive. Not that you were expected to know she was dead, but once you found out it might have been more appropriate to issue some semi-apologetic statement or at least not say something as contrarian and stubborn as
Doesn't change the opinion the person had

I think the issue is more about showing some respect for the dead by not blasting one small meaningless comment they made years ago shortly before their death. Even if her opinion was blatantly wrong (and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people more qualified to talk about basketball than you or me who would at least partially agree with her), the feeling is you don't call out a dead person who can't defend themselves. Especially over something as trivial as this, and tbh Melo has not been doing anything to invalidate her sentiment for the past several seasons in NY, so I don't know why you pick now to berate a year-old post from a deceased poster?
