@Huskies: Well, the new staff members affect the same things and can be combined with the specialties of the old staff. So, I wouldn't call them obsolete but complementary. And yeah about the nutritionists.

@aber: all of them.

Is the Sports Psychologist at superior rating, along with a trainer with an advanced rating, going to be good enough that I could reduce my roster down to, say, 8 players? That would give me the money to pay the salary without increasing my expenses. If the SP is that good, then this is a pretty good concept.

Got an idea while drinking beer:

How about adding a fourth type of secondary staff:

Athletic Specialist: Reduces the effect of skilldowns of old players (age 33+).

IMHO this would be a perfect addition to the existing three types of secondary staff and give managers an additional option for team building. For example, we all know how long it takes to train players beyond 130 TSP - just to see them having their first skilldowns a couple of seasons later. An Athletic Specialist could help to preserve their elite state for a longer time frame (at a cost, of course).

Opinions?

It looks like exceptional nutritionist will stop Stamina from dropping at all. So you will need to buy a level 7 to actually increase stamina.

I would like some feedback from the staff on whether Nutritionist and fitness trainer stack (ie. fitness + exceptional nutritionist increases stamina for example). A nutritionist will be very hard to justify if the effects don't stack.

Example:
Not stacking
Standard drop with no specialty trainer = -0.05 (20 weeks for a stamina drop)
Drop with fitness trainer = -0.02
Drop without fitness trainer but with lvl 6 nutritionist = -0.05*0% = 0
Drop with fitness trainer and lvl 6 nutritionist: = -0.02*0% = 0

If it works like this then a nutritionist will actually limit the effect of a fitness trainer

Stacking
Drop without fitness trainer but with lvl 6 nutritionist = -0.05+0.05 = 0
Drop with fitness trainer and lvl 6 nutritionist: = -0.02+0.05 = 0.03

It looks like a Fitness trainer will be by far the best option unless you get a high level nutritionist (the specialty is probably equivalent to an advanced or competent Nutritionist, but it may not cost you as much.

Sports Psychologist - game shape is such a volatile factor. Sometimes, no matter the minutes, some of your most important players just can't hit their best form in the worst of times like the playoffs, etc... This is where this guy comes in handy - he'll make sure they have their heads straight and will help keep their form up at all times, even if the minutes are suboptimal.

If so, why does my best player have form 7?
Last week played 69 minutes.

For comparison:

Prior to training, 6 of my players were in the form of 9, 2 players were in the form of 8, and 3 players were in the form 7. I bought a sports psychologist level 6 and now after the training, it looks like this:
5 players are in the form of 9, 5 players have the form 8 and my key player who played the last week 69 minutes has the form 7. The sport psychologist level 6 did not help.

Has anyone had a stamina pop from a secondary staff yet? Ive bought a lvl 6 as there was no lvl 7 when i looked at that particular time.

Do you have the control experiment where you have exactly the same set up but without the sports psychologist? Perhaps your key player would have been even worse.

He would not be worse without the sports psychologist this week.....

Players on 9 GS retain exactly the same DMI which means ST remains exactly the same with a lvl 6 nutritionist.

Frankly that is disappointing and I only see people using the youth trainer in the future as the GS coach seems to have a very limited impact and the nutritionist is not economically viable when compared to a fitness coach
