Lawrance was awesome in offence, but he certainly had issues tryling to limit Phung.

By the way there are many young potentiated Indian players saved and are on tl, Is there anyone interested to make them NT players ?

It was a funny match seing so many familiar faces on both sides. All those India U21 players against the Aussie team I know so well.

Australia vs. India 126 - 92 (21087)
In Australia's third match of their Asia Championships campaign, they faced off against the surging Indians. India raced off to a flying start going up 13-7 before Australia crawled their way back to level pegging 24 all at the first break. Watching on the sidelines was India's former U21 coach Yodabig (196950) who was mixed with emotions all night cheering proudly for his younguns who have now finally made the Indian national team while watching in awe as his man Lawrance (12019302) played another fantastic game starting at power forward for Australia. The game continued tightly at the second term as India continued to match Australia up until 4 minutes mark before the main break. But Australia took the game to another level and left India behind their trail.

Overall both sides had some noteworthy performances. Jaiswal (9093174) from India had a great game as he dominated Walker (14845673) all night scoring 24 points while restricting Walker to only 29% from the field. He also had support from Kumar (14983993) and Firosh (14983997) who scored 18 and 17 points respectively. However it was not enough as Australia played once again a strong team game with a total of 29 assists. Veteran Mansfield (8157988) led the way with 10 dishes as well as 25 points and 5 boards. Lawrance as mentioned earlier contributed with 16 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and 2 steals. He was not alone with the front court assault with Cunming (9471882) having 16 points, 12 boards and 2 blocks; and Lakhin (13435558) with 12 points, 10 boards and 4 assists.

All in all, Australia's team game was too hot for India to handle with 7 double digit individual scores to 4. With this win, it takes Australia to the top of Pool C as well as automatically qualifying to the next group stage. India on the other hand still haven't notched up a victory after 4 games and are eliminated from the Asia Championships. Australia's next game on this coming Monday evening will be up against Indonesia, another team that has qualified to the next round. Indonesia vs. Australia 87 - 100 (21089)
Coming into this game, both nations had already qualified for the next round. During the pre-game warm up the Australians were looking relaxed while the Indonesians were eager to cause an upset and potentially sit on top of pool C. Early in the first, it was neck and neck as both teams kept trading baskets against each other. The Australians weren't interested in letting this continue and took a small 5-0 run which allowed them to grab a lead till the end of the quarter. With the lead in hand Australia was able to hold an arms length away from Indonesia, however that was to change. Indonesia was down by 9 at the final break and a strong rally from the Indonesian coach changed the way the Indonesians went about the start of the final quarter. Indonesia went off in a blistering pace lifting the intensity to a whole new level going on a 13-3 run which got them the lead against Australia with nine and half minutes remaining. Australia was yet to be challenged seriously in the Asia Championships so far this season finally was faced with a real battle. Australia were looking like running out of gas, however the coach made some important substitutions after a McArthur (12525988) shooting foul. The fresh players was what they needed and kick start a big finish in the game to overrun the Indonesians 26-12 to win the match.

Piet (14985111) from Indonesia was great with 21 points and 12 boards however his 3 turnovers were part of the key reason behind Indonesia's defeat. Their entire team had a total of 16 turnovers in comparison to Australia's fantastic ball handling skills which only coughed up the ball 5 times. Australia's Walker (14845673) who have been struggling so far in the Asia Championships this season finally came to life with an outstanding performance with 18 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and also played some great D. He was not alone with Cunming (9471882) supporting with 14 points and 8 boards, while Dell (10058043) came off the bench for 13 minutes scoring 7 points and grabbing 8 boards. Wazza (6863683) also continued his good form showcasing his creative passing skills notching up 5 assists with his 9 points and 2 steals for the match.

This victory puts Australia in a good position to finish top of pool C with 2 games remaining. Their next encounter is against Japan who was the only nation to beat them in the last Asia Championships.
