Your probably right Trikster.

I've stuffed up bad and with half a brain and a bit of luck could of been 3 2 instead of 1 4

It sounds like your an advocate of the sound theory that I should strip my roster and stash some cash so that I can be competitive back in div 2 next season.

Defeatist as it sounds its a pretty ominous situation I face.

Even if I could crawl past the auto relegation spot of 8th and make it to 6th or 7th spot, I'd have to face the Doncaster Flames or Koopasaurus in a relegation fight.

Those guys safe in the knowledge that they are safe from auto relegation (Adams Guns appears to have thrown in the towel) have stripped their rosters and are stashing away hundreds of thousands a week so that they can get in some beasts for such a series.

Your chance for redemption is coming up.

You have to thrash Iwens mob and the monkeys

I see you have been keeping up with the news thread and keeping an eye on my roster...

I don't know about beasts, me and doncaster are not WA is a dump... but I'll I hope i can get in some decent talent for another 2 point win the relegation games =P

Getting some beasts in and overpaying on salary to win by 30 points in the relegation games is just excessive and not smart business at all..

And I'm pretty sure adam guns has not raised the white flag yet, he will be a force to reckon with one Sidwell comes back from injury.

Obviously coming up 4 seasons ago was a different thing(or maybe not) - but i figured there was no point in promoting without a roster that was going to be good enough to stay up. Because of this i build slowly and through training in Div 2 - and lost the championship series twice in the process - before promoting.

the year before i came up i had 1.2 million in my account or something like that but figured there was no point in buying some 400k guy just to win the playoffs. Instead i waited and bought Adivar and kept saving and bought Dos Santos with my promotion money & savings and then finished 5th my 1st (and 2nd) year up.

Obviously a different approach but i was certain i would stay up when i promoted and i was right. Seems to be a lot of up and down teams these days but then again maybe i got lucky.

You wont be staying up unless you have some cash to fund the players.
You have been playing since season 6 so you had more time to save and train players in div2 to prepare for the ABBL.

Most of the recently promoted teams in the ABBL are young and have promoted to the ABBL "too early".

The newer teams in BB will have trouble when they first reach the ABBL cos they will be facing against teams who have established themselves in the ABBL already e.g teams like direwolf, mllama, c-cat, wa is a dump etc..

Teams like mine will be fighting in relegation battles for seasons to come.. thats why every season spent in the ABBL should be cherished and not taken for granted.

Thinking of relegation already?? We're not even a third through the season.

hahha have a look on my side of the conference and tell me who I can beat?
I'll be lucky to even get 6th or 7th spot.

You've already got a 2 game lead over 7th/8th placed teams right now. you're doing fine. With a bit of luck, you might finish 5th.

If you think your side is tough, look at my side! Everyone is a lot more rounded and harder to beat.

that 2 game lead will dwindle in no time with my meek roster of 6 players. How much luck can a team with 240k salary bring you. Don't me wrong I have been pretty lucky in the past, but it'll be a miracle this time.
