Ok ill fix this for you so that it says exactly what you see:
basic
competent
advanced
superior
exceptional
world-renowned
You're adding the numbers on your own. If you hold the mouse over any skill in the game you will see a number. If you hold it over advanced you will see a 4 and not a 3. You can also click any skill in the game that takes you to the nomenclature in the game manual that shows you every level of skills. At the bottom you'll find the list for staff. It goes as this:
minimal
basic
competent
advanced
superior
exceptional
world-renowned
See that bold one? It is a level you actually cant recruit. Level 1 is something you get automatically when you fire your current staff.
With this new found knowledge go to the staff market again and do a search for a lvl 4 trainer and see how it looks.

Will do. Looks like that drop-down could use a little clarification -- it is misleding as it is, for anyone who doesn't start counting at "TWO." Just guessing here, but I bet most new managers stat counting at "one, two, three" or "uno, dos, tres" or "eins, zwei, drei" and so forth.

Okay, fine, perpete ... you count two-three-four if you want to, nobody is stopping you. That's where the dropdown starts, so you should be fine with it. However, for any new manager who starts counting at ONE, it is misleading because it conceals ONE and gives no clue that anything is missing ... and undoubtedly it would be easy to fix.

Seriously guys, it was just a misunderstanding as elsewhere a level 0 is used (Announcer potential). I think we have clarified minimal=1, Basic=2, Competent=3, Advanced=4, Superior=5, Exceptional=6, World Class=7, let's move on, the discussion had become quite interesting on free agency and relative cost/value of training.
