My reasoning for the silver platter comment is simple. 3 months ago we heard stories from users who were able to build contenders and champions of their division from the team they got, and a change or two. I for one, won my division with a few moves. On the other side, we heard top teams complaining teams were better than what they started with. Where is the issue? Team makeup being too good.

Bottom line - When in HT have you ever heard of a user that gets a team and wins the division after playing a few games? The teams they get are bad. They get a user test because they are so bad and to prevent users from making that 100k seat upgrade, or buying that 100k player and go bankrupt.

I agree with pretty much everything you said here. These new changes are aimed at fixing these exact issues.

I think part of that is going to fix itself as these top teams (who bought all the great trainees) train these guys up to high levels, and make their own higher salaries. I imagine they will train guys as high as possible to compete in the very lucrative league that is the NBBA.

Also, I think a lot of us are focusing too much on the top teams. There are 23,000 active teams right now in about 65 countries, which equates to 1040 total teams in their country's top league. That is less than 5% of the total userbase. Obviously the 95% have far more money and economic power to shift the market than the 5%, no matter how much cash they're raking in each week.

True, combined they have more money than the top teams, but can they cough up 500k individually. Some can some can not, depends on how much they have saved.

Yea, that's why I agree with the moves the BB have made thus far. By keeping the good players from disappearing during botification this will speed up the maturation process for the game.

As a nice side effect the flooded transfer market has made prices more reasonable so that for the first time since I started half way through last season I can pick through and try to improve my team.

You discuss the top of the iceberg. You belong to the few that started when the competition was weak. We who are just at the beginning in BB (and often have established a well functioning HT- team), meet harder time here than in HT. And I guess harder than in the beginning?
First of all; after been reading through all the rules, it is hard to find out when and in which amount the income will come. (Look how many that do not know that SC-matches do not bring money.) So little to read about how the staff will be presented to you. So little to read in the rules to bring concise help over all.
When discussion comes to "lower part of the iceberg" where so many players give up so soon, it is easy to think that "let them go" because new once will come.
These huge crowd of interested BB-players are the real future for this game. It is we who buy all your second best players. It is we who fill up the leagues at the bottom with life and prosperous joy. Please be nice to us.
And it is fair to compare BB with HT because the intention must be at that level.

I like the game, but I do not like the situation my team is in.
We are running out of money. The changing of the staff is so expensive, it is at no use. The income from the matches is not like I thought. And as I started just after a TV-match there is very little to do to adjust the situation.
And (as you now know) three other team in my league are given extra players for free. It is time to look at this game with new eyes from the bottom! Thank you for keeping out with me and for reading all this!

Just as a note, you might think it's hard on you now, but when the first teams signed up, they didn't get the 50k bonus for the first month. Chew on that, and tell me if you still think new teams have it harder.

Nope they didn't, but they are making that up by being in higher division than we are.....

That's true, but you will get the same bonus as new players from now on as well as be in a higher division than someone who joins 6 months from now. Pretty good for all the people joining now.

Yeah ,every new team from now on are equal... financially wise. They still get a random generated team however.

I actually think teams joining later will be at a pretty big disadvantage financially. By getting into the game at an early phase there are some pretty big advantages.

For one, with so much player turnover and vertical compression, it is much easier to promote now than it it will be in a year or so. I started halfway through last season in Div. IV and I could possibly be in Div. II next season without ever having to win a championship.
