Game 5 recaps

Guys over all closer more competitive games............for the most part.

Blasters at Phakeouts

Gurklis appears to be the real deal for the Phakeouts netting 33 points tonight. Unfortunatley he appears to be the only real deal for their team. Blasters have a huge 3rd and 4th quarter which proves to be the dagger for the Phakeout fans. Nobody oustanding for the Blasters but everyone did their part. Blasters 85 Phakeouts 64

NP at Bobcats

Quite the shootout at the Bobcats crib. One team pushin the ball the other firing away. Bobcats stellar 2nd and 3rd quarter prove to be too much for the NP gang. Csikos for NP drained 27 but Burgess and Peszeni both came up huge for the Bobcats. Burgess netted 29 points and Peszeni came up huge again with 24 points and 21 rebounds. Peszeni seems to bring it every night. Bobcats 112 NP 92

Prov City at Ron Swanson

The Allstars came out hot and went into the half up by two. Carmona came out firing in the third and a tough Prov defense held the Allstars to just 13 points. Each team put 5 in double digit points but in the end Carmona was too much to handle. Prov City 95 Allstars 81

Crank Dat at Challengers

Run boy run that was the motto for both teams. Crank dat had Petitto, Peditto Pedatto firing away. Don't know his real name might want to find out cause he drained 25 on the Challengers tonight and shot 50% from downtown. This game ultimately came down to one quarter. One team came out for the 3rd and the other didn't. Crank dat ran the Challengers out of their own gym in the third and stole one away from em. Crank Dat 91 Challengers 79

Dutchmen at VD's

Probably the game of the night for III.4 cause it came down to the 4th quarter. Hutson had his usual 20 tonight but Romary is really coming on for the Dutchmen and drained 21 himself. A tough duo for any team to cover Romary seems to do a very nice job of taking advantage of the tough defense on Hutson leaving him open often. VD's stayed tough till the end but a few more 3 pointers could have helped him cause 6 for 26 from 3 land gave the VD's coach heartburn. Dutchmen 87 VD's 82

Tachenko at Champaign

Champaign brought the Gatorade to this one and put more into it from the beginning. Unfortunately it looked more like they brought Champaign and downed a few bottes cause this one was over at the half. Calderia for Tachenko had 20 points and 20 rebounds to push his team to a sure victory. Randall Hacker nailed 33 in a losing effort for Champaign. Noticeable on the stat sheet was a turnover problem for Tachenko even though they got the win. Will they fix this in the future? Time will tell! Tachenko 99 Champaign 81

Phantoms at Terrors

The Phantoms remained undefeated as they went into the Terrors neighborhood and came out victorious again. Despite huge nights from Eason and Navales scoring 31 and 28 respectively they could not overcome the team effort from the Phantoms. Brown drained 27 for the Phantoms and went an impressive 75% from long range. Luckily for the Phantoms rebounds and free throws were enough to overcome 24 turnovers. Phantoms too much for the Terros tonight.
Phantoms 116 Terrors 101

Flames at Cleveland

Nothing much to report here guys. Just a stat filler game for the Crazy's.
Crazy's 133 Flames 54

Game 5 MVP-alot of scorers this week you all can make the call.

Eason 31 points
Calderia 20 pts 20 boards
Burgess 29
Gurklis 33 pts.
Peszini 24 pts 21 boards (Is there a game he doesn't get on this list?)
Honorable mention Marmolejo 26 points 16 rebounds (can't give em the MVP this week cause of the competition)

finally got the 1st win of the season...
but it seems like the "push the ball" playing style is not for my team.

still testing and improving!

Amazing, only your first win and you have somebody toward the top of each list scoring, rebounds and assists.

that actually make sense, it means they carry too much loads for the team...
situation should change though....I'm pretty happy with my new recruits!

Yikes, don't have your point guard get hurt when he's supposed to play the whole game, especially when you run a perimeter offense. Not that I don't enjoy a rousing 4th quarter with my big men running the point but...oh wait, that is exactly what I don't enjoy. Oh well, won the game and Gagis won't miss any time, though it certainly messes up my training for the week.

Bobcats season ticket holder and former member of III.4. If you're in LA, how'd you choose the bobcats?

first of all....
I dont like the cockiness of LA fans thinking that they will always win and no matter what the refs call againist them are wrong.

second of all...
gerald wallace is my fav player!
hustle and risk his life to play ball every night! 3 concussions and he is still on the court playing at high level!!

Achieved what only two other players (David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon) in league history have averaged over 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game in a single season. He did it in 2005–06, before getting injured in January, averaging 14.5 points and 7 rebounds, and ranking in the top 10 in the NBA in field goal percentage (54.142), blocks (2.19), and steals per game (2.44).

Just too many reasons to give credits to this guy who only stands 6'7 yet protecting the paint like a big man!

I watch NBA base on the spirit but not where I located at HAHA probably because I like point guards/ defensive players, my first fav is dennis rodman

Thanks to Tutori comment earlier in the season:

Bobcats4Life - Looks to have the best roster of the promoted teams. Good veteran starters, as well as three decent looking trainees. Only 8 men on the roster currently, but they are sitting on a pile of cash to help fill out the team with either quality depth or an impact player.

Crank Dat Soulja Boy - Pretty decent starters, but I see some roster balance issues. Certainly capable of winning some games, but I don't think they have the depth to be in every game. !

He motivated me to show my magic. I had to act fast, I came to the division admittingly worse than your team and I knew I'd relegate if I made no changes. Div III is hella up the tempo in squad gotta keep up to in this survival of the fittest game.
However my new player Ding Dong Ding Jonde isn't as amazing as he seems afterall he is 29 and his estimate is 1.1M to 1.35M, I'd say more things regarding his skillset which make him not look as worthy but its best not to reveal to everyone his skillset.

BTW I like Gerald Wallace alot, I had him in my fantasy league last year and he did me good deed
