Check out the cool new artwork on our u21 homepage. Thanks goes to Peeping Tom for his designs.

Pleasure. Sadly, I haven't been able to contribute to the Aussie community thus far on the court, so this is my little effort, hopefully soon I can help with trained talent. (we'll see how this seasons title push goes...)

Just over 12 hrs until our final game of the Asian champs regular matches, tonight it's Singapore. Jump on board and watch our young local talent, these are the guys of our future!

Go Aussies!

In an evil twist of fate we found ourselves drop to 2nd on the ladder. We lost to Singapore by 5pts after they CTd us (30128). Can't see how they won given our team ratings, and player ratings, but that's the game. R mac jnr hit 2 massive 3s in the final minute, one with a second left, but carelessly we then immedietly fouled on the buzzer. It was painful.

MVPs
3 votes - cockblock (16pts, 12 boards, 4-4fts, 2 blks, 6-8fg).
2 votes- Christian (19pts, 6 boards)
1 vote- TP (17pts, 3 boards).

Our next game is a massive one vs China. Time of the game is TBC at this stage...

Desperately unlucky. I'm starting to think the australian nts are cursed to continually fall just short of the world cup :p.

The semi will be on at the usual time, but on friday night\sat morning.

So cruel.

A difference of one point in the overall points difference sees us playing China rather than NZ in the Semis.

Edit

Totally agree, when you look at the matchup ratings and the player ratings, we should have won easily.

Tough luck, sometimes shit happens for no apparent reason in this game

Wasnt our best performance but we now have an opportunity to beat china in a semi not an easy task but far from impossible .I see they have one of their key bigs up for sale so who wants a new big man for $1.2 mill ?? ;)

just curious in that game, both teams had 12 players hit the court.

so i have 2 questions

a) Is that normal in NT games?
and
b) Why do we dress 12 players? And why do we set linups for 12? Why not, 7, or 8 such as normal league games? Is this a NT thing?

The standard nt approach is to play a blank lineup with lcd, which will play all 12 players if they are good enough. It shares minutes around better, and is pretty overpowered. Will be gone as an option next season though.

League teams don't tend to do it, because it screws with training - though sid has used it for much of the season, with obvious benefits!

And last season as well

I pushed all the hard skills like OD & ID early on in my trainees training with the intention that when they got to the age of 24 or so that Id be able to play them in their proper positions (SF) and train them in 2 position stuff like JS and driving.

Thus enabling my team to play at full power despite still being in training mode
