Your team is too good for D4. You lost Saturday because of your injury, you were on the road, and you put in less effort into the game.

The players market is not very good right now. Like the real estate market it is a good time to buy but not to sell.

I saw where you have your 2 best players in the transfer market. One of them already has a bid. I hope that you replace him with another excellent player although your other center looks very good.

Hello all, I have been suffering in a graveyard of a league forum and I know one of your league members so I thought I would chime in on one of these topics.

My first thought is that teams will lose one or more games to avoid finishing in fifth place. This way they would earn attendance revenue from 3 relegation games. They figure that if their team is good enough to finish in fifth place, then it is good enough to win a relegation series with the home court advantage against a seventh place team.

I don't know if you have evidence that it is better to be in the relegation series than 5th place, but I from my experience the only place that is better place to finish from a financial standpoint is 1st place because you are guarenteed to have two home playoff games. If you finish in 5th you don't have to pay salaries for the two weeks of the playoffs, but you still collect TV revenue, and merchandise. For Div III teams that is somewhere around 110-130k$. Now if you were in the relegation series or seeds 2-4, there is no way you can dream of making that much in a week after only receiving a fraction of the ticket sales and paying salaries. I was in 4th place two seasons ago and lost money the first round of the playoffs (which I lost) and then the next week made bank by not paying salaries. I was then able to grab a cheap player off the transfer list and set myself up for the next season.

Now lets say you are in 2nd place (or 6th place). You will receive 66% of your first ticket sales, lets say 133k (Tuesday game.) If you win you will then make 33% at your next game (Saturday game) or 66k for a weekly total of 200k. So after paying salaries you wil not make as much as if you had not played any games. And if you happen to have to play the 3rd relegation game on the following Tuesday you are screwed because you have to pay a full week of salaries and only play 1 game.

Be careful what you wish for. It is possible that the league champion will come from the Great 8 and that the Great 8 teams will lose their relegation series. Add to that the last place team and you lose 4 teams in 1 season.

Of course the league champion could be you after playing in 2 consecutive Finals.

The Big 8 has to be very strong for a team like Rogues to be relegated.

According to your preseason rankings one of us would face Tachenko in a relegation series as the underdog. I saw where Tachenko played in the Finals in Season 18. I realize that his team appears to be going downhill but he is still a dangerous opponent for a new team.

I also saw where he stated that he wants to get out of here after so many seasons. It would be ironic if he where to leave here after losing a relegation series to a new team.

It is fun here but I don’t think any of you want to spend 16 seasons here.

That's why I said I wasn't looking forward to it. In fact I hope only one person relegates out of the Great 8. There is to many people in the Big 8 that like to remain silent. Its time to get rid of some.

The foreseen mass exodus of the Royal Challengers has come to fruition!

the sum of those sales are 2.9 million, and at a bad timing where only few hundreds people are online. Heck of a job Royal Challengers!
