Coach your guy is way too old to consider training him. The data from the training project shows that a 29 year old trains at 16% the rate of a 18 year old. I would consider picking up some star/allstar 18-19 year old guys after the draft as your training projects. You should be able to find some 45+ TSP guys very cheap. Better if they are American on your USA team and Utopian on your Utopia team.

I wanted experience and guys who I won't have to train as much on my team.

Heading on the right path so far. Are you?

Try this...

The Wheel.
Numbers.
Writing.
Agriculture.
Gravity.
Electricity.
Penicillin.
We left our planet and set foot on our moon.
Nuclear Fission.
X-Rays.
Quantum Physics....
Of course not an exhaustive list.

Yes..... Very stupid. You might say that only a few of us discovered those things. Many of us, given the right conditions are capable.

Confirmation Bias my friend.

You don't have to take the advice, but anyone who plays this game and succeeds trains very young players.

We are highly intelligent. That's a given.

You're right, though. We do definitely make some very silly decisions. That's also a given.

But we don't do them because of stupidity. We do them because we are convinced that they aren't that stupid. And guess what the culprit is? Confirmation Bias.

You are right. We do make a lot of decisions that are bad for our future. A lot of us also take some very clever ones. But, to just see the bad ones means that you are heavily afflicted with Confirmation Bias.

I dare you. Try to get out of it.

I keep mentioning it because you keep ticking the boxes for it.

You are ignoring the fact that I keep saying we make bad decisions and that we are, in part, stupid (if that's what you want to call it - I would say we think too much in the "now").

And ignore evidence is what people who are afflicted with confirmation bias do. They ignore evidence that goes against their opinion. They also use persuasive language to prove their point, rather than state things simply. I'm not "allergic" to your analysis. I disagree with you, in part. Surely, sir, that is ok. Is it not?

We very well could be headed in a bad way. But there are some new positive, forward looking trends out there that just might catch on. Maybe they won't. I don't know. I don't profess to. Do you?
