ah, don't be too harsh. when i first started this game, i, too, fell in love with the TL -- lotsa moves -- the challenge of finding a bargain intrigued me -- i've learned by trial and error (still on trial, many errors). if he is serious about this game, and really wants to improve, i am confident he too will find out the relative value of training versus the TL

You will refrain from making any sort of accusations in the Help threads. If you feel that someone is cheating, you should report it using the appropriate means.

i cant agree with this 100% of the time

i remember ages back i saw a guy on the transfer list who had strong in several skills but was really bad in some other key ones but i figured he would be an excellent defensive stopper

he was a bit old and had horrid potential

the computer said he was worth about 20-40k

i bid 20 and thought i had a chance

i checked later he was at 40 so i bid again

next time i checked he was at 80 so i went crazy and bid 100 now certain he was mine

i was stunned to find he finally sold for 200 while i was offline and at the time i probably would have paid that much for him but i have to say i was scared of getting in trouble even bidding 100 for a 40k player and that may have stopped me

i also had a player when i first started who was a really servicable backup pg that the computer said was worth 1-1 but he was fine for me and i would have happily paid 50k for a similar player (maybe with a better JS)

all i am saying is the computer estimates are sometimes way off

I think TPE is just plain stupid..Take these two players for example..Player 1 is the player I bought with a TPE of 2.6 million..Got him for 2.1 million.

This second guy was in the bin at the same time so I cut and pasted his stats.. He had a TPE of 3.5 million and went for 2.6 million

I know this player is only 20 but it would take more than 5 seasons to get him to the level of the player I bought..5 atrocious skills...OUCH

So here is my question...Which one would you buy and who is worth their TPE? peace

that is a starting bid which is pretty much the minimum he want for the player. It doesn't mean the guy will sell.

It could also be a honest mistake. Entering an extra 0 on what your starting price could yield somethign like that

Sorry I didn't know it was against the rules. Ok so it was a guy valued at around $100,000 and the owner was trying to sell him for $1,800,000. He was mostly average in his stats and had a couple of respectable. I don't think he had any special potential or age. So what is this except an attempt to rip some idiot off or cheat?

More likely an attempt or could be an accidient by putting in an extra "0"

I wouldn't say it was a cheat unless someone actually makes a bid for the player.
