35k is too big of an arena. 1.5 mil roster in D5 is just insane. Your better off doing that in D1 cause more revenue in merch arena and tv money but roster would stay 1.5 and staff could stay the same and don't invest in scouting so if any real team is doing that there 40mil will be gone in no time cause in D5 you will be losing more than 1 mil per week. But it would be like 1.4 mil a week. So that's 15.4 mil loss in a regular season. Make playoffs and lose finals that 19.6. So like no longer than 3 seasons your 40 mil is gone and your bankrupt. Arena is huge at 35k but attendance varies on division too and prices can't be too expensive in D5.

Restrictive was probably the wrong term to use. I meant intrusive. I just don't think that they should limit how much fairly earned amounts of money earned in the game, even if only a few users could reach the bank account cap. I don't think it's necessary, either.
I do think there should a a B3 salary cap to restore a competitive balance. It eliminates these allstar teams thatmake the competition boring/predictable. It makes the competion about the best manager/team, not the richest manager/most expensive team.
Salary cap for lower division is unneccesary as I think competion in those divisions are fine overall.

I used to play this game several months(it may have been a year, not sure) back but I quit. I made it a higher division than where I'm at now but I wasn't anything special. Now I'm just using a scrub team so I can try a train a certain kind of player.
As far as the topic at hand:
I understand that salary is not the only thing(tons of elite salary efficient players out there) but in general, teams with higher salaries tend to win. Particularly when there is a huge gap(like Misagh's Venomous Scorpions). If you put a cap on team salaries, then you make the B3 more about tactics/player skill selection. In this scenario, even if the guy has huge bank account, he can still lose if someone else is a better manager. This makes the competition more exciting than it has been in the past. (Though with the dominance of LI/M2M and the overpowered OD making outside tactics worthless, the competition still can be dull to follow.)
I do agree with you on tanking, though, particularly for top division teams. BB has taken steps in the right direction but something needs to be put in place to severly cripple high division tankers.
