In the book Moneyball (haven't seen the movie), there's a scene where the A's, at home, trade a Latin American relief pitcher to the team they're playing that night. Billy Beane, the A's GM, has to explain to the guy, in the locker room, a few hours before game time, what's going on. The pitcher's grasp of English is rather sketchy. So Beane finally conveys to the dude, put on some pants, make yourself decent, pack your shit and mosey on down to the visitors' locker room, where you now belong.

Not even man. This market is for the zillionaires. It's impossible to find anyone within a reasonable price. The inflation going on is ridiculous. If prices were like this a few seasons ago I would still be here with you guys. It would have costed me like 25-35 million to put together my current scrub team.

Man, I look like such a genius, playing run and gun when usually I'm one of the worst 3 point shooters in the league. Unfortunately, truthiness compels me to admit I meant to use Base Offense...something slipped.
15-31 on 3's? I'll take it, but I better not get used to it.
