Maples is irrelevant to the conversation.
Could you explain the difference between the NBBA and Maples, and D.III and Merrill? I don't see it.
Are they even more expensive and probably overpriced now. Hard to argue that!
How are overpriced players good for club teams?
But lets take a look at how their owners fared in each of those players 20 year old season:
Terrance Hammond: In season 16, Newmarket West Siders were crowned champions of league Canada III.11
Mike Merrill: In season 16, Hamstar Hoopers were crowned champions of league USA IV.47
Jimmie Brown: In season 16, West Lawn Mowers were crowned champions of league USA IV.61
This isn't what I'm talking about. Those are their 20 year old seasons. These guys start that 20 year old season at 13/13/13, and end it at 15/15/15, but only pay the 13/13/13 (40k-60k) salaries. That is for sure, without a doubt, a good thing for any club team. No way i'll disagree with you there.
What I've been trying to convey all along is that stopping at 14/14/14 or 15/15/15 is better for club teams than pressing on to 17/17/17. You've shown examples of how 14/14/14 and 15/15/15 bigs led their teams to promotion. 15/15/15 is fine for club teams. I'm saying that those extra pops to 17/16/17 are crucial for the U21, and devastating for club teams.
If I'm still unclear, maybe we can discuss this further.
Hey I won that game though!!
I was defending you! I've never seen so many people complain about an America's semi win...
