As manager would you focus on developing specialist players (LI Big, Outside SG) or hybrid players that can play more than one offense.

Both. Considering that both can be very helpful in their own ways, I could see myself focusing on both types. The thing that a lot of people seem to forget is that the roster can have 18 people on it and as long as most of them are reliable managers with good game shape management then we can have plenty of different players on the roster so that they can be utilized depending on what offense we decide to run.

The overall build has a lot to do with their starting skills. There will of course be bigs that will be focused on primaries and same goes for guards, but I am one that believes you work with what you are given. If someone comes to me with a rookie with good guard skills but horrible inside ones, I'm not going to tell then to focus on the inside skills so much, where as a guard with great starting inside skills would be trained towards a hybrid style.

So as the manager I wouldn't say I would be focused on just one style. I will be foused on creating many different styles l allow us the opportunity to do more things. This includes:

Pure PGs
Defensive guards
Scoring guards
Hybrid guards
Inside oriented guards
All around SFs
Defensive SFs
Scoring SFs
Point forwards
Power forwards
Defensive bigs
Scoring bigs
Rebounding bigs

As far as the GDP goes, Hunterz and I did a small amount of experimenting in scrims last season. I hosted 3 scrims:

Game 1:
Hunterz, 2 correct guesses
Lancers, 2 incorrect guesses
Hunterz 69-52 Lancers

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/65381756/boxscore.aspx

Game 2:
Hunterz, 2 incorrect
Lancers, 2 correct
Hunterz 76-84 Lancers

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/65388649/boxscore.aspx

Game 3:
Hunterz, 2 correct
Lancers, 2 correct
Hunterz 48-64 Lancers

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/65397637/boxscore.aspx

For the third game, Hunterz had sold off most of his scrubs and bought new $1k players for this last scrim, so the data might be a bit skewed for that game, but you can see the two extremes in Games 1 & 2.

almost perfect... only thing is the change of players for game 3... and then no game 4 of without guessing at all for a baseline.

Of course more data would be helpful too....

Thank you Nick22

Yeah after game 3 Hunterz fired the scrubs and stopped scrimming because he'd locked up fifth place.

Correct.
Sorry to the community for that. The extra couple scrims with same lineups could have been invaluabe. Not sure what I was thinking.

Those games are a big reason I am leary of the GDP implimentation and have mentioned it numerous times offsite.

Do the candidates intend to try to scout and use it or ignore it in this term until its full affect can be drtermined?

I plan to ignore it for the majority of this first season simply because I do not think we will need it to win any game. I would like some more examples and information though, so it can be utilized next season.

Bah... I accidently deleted my post instead of editing it.

The gist of it:

GDP is useless until any significant research proves its not.

I do like players with less TSP than those of the same position with more. Rex Engle and Tracey Gamez come to mind.
