It's probably best we take this discussion to bb-mail or the offsite. It has very little to do with actually determining who the best candidate is for the U21 coach. I'd prefer not to get wrapped up in this discussion when I have a ton of other questions to answer. It's pretty clear we each have our own thoughts on this. I'll bb-mail you with a response. If you prefer I respond here, let me know.

Maples is irrelevant to the conversation.

Could you explain the difference between the NBBA and Maples, and D.III and Merrill? I don't see it.

Maples is the most expensive player in the US and worth probably 1/2 what Merrill is?
Maples is training very slowly while Merrill was popping very quickly.

Anyways, I think the details of this matter are spiraling away from whats important in the election. You've already stated we need the best players with the best primaries and I agree wholeheartedly, as does Coco. We also need some niche and role players but they're what fills in the cracks not what forms the team.

The matter of the salaries is something we can all agree to disagree on.

Then, d.III managers shouldn't train Hammond-esque bigs. It seems truly obvious...

I didn't get this memo. Thank go Hamstar didn't either.
And I know you are not serious Coco. I should point that out since you scare me and I don't want to get yelled at.

You beat me before I could edit.

I was kidding with that comment 100%.
I believe it is silly to tell a tell a manager that there are certain ways you can't train your player.

I think everyone here may be overrating driving, I've never seen a huge value in it, along with rebounding.

Looking at the U21 players, I do not think that people are overrating driving. There is one good passer, but he does not have much of any other skills.

I also disagree with rebounding being overrated. If you get out rebounded you will lose the game most of the time. If you look at any games, you will see that the winner usually outrebounds the other team and if one team is more dominant in rebouding, they will win the game by more.

You know, this is very interesting. I decided to test out this method on some other things. Did you know that the team that makes more shots than the other team also seems to win most of the time? Amazing, the team with more assists ALSO! seems to win most of the time. And this one's hard to believe, but the team that plays better defense and prevents the other team from making more shots, you guessed it, seems to win most of the time!

Point being, more of any skill is ALWAYS better. The question has to be, which is *more* important? In this case, are you suggesting that guards should get more rebounding training at the expense of js, od, pa, etc? I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but I think that's a very unusual recommendation when discussing u21 players who need to maximize their training time, so I'd like to hear you defend this.

I'm not sure what this election is about or who's running.
That's said, are paper ballots available? I'd love for this election to come down to hanging chads & recounts.
