When did I say I agree with with doing something a year from now?
All I said was at least they aren't making zero changes. They are actively trying to change things up and make the game better. What and how that is done is obviously a huge point of discussion!
For example: I'm not a huge fan of raising the salary floor. For 11 of the 14 weeks last season I was under the salary floor, yet I managed 3rd place in my conference and won a playoff game.
Why should I be punished for this by BB eating into my bottom line?
Is the boycott not a strong enough measure? Punish tanking teams that are actually tanking, not competitive teams who do so by saving money where they know how to.
Your team is a good example on how broken the BB economy already is.
Some saisons ago top teams in my league had a team salary of 1M, TV contract was 240k and average income was close to zero. Now, you are set for PO with 600k salary, TV was 193k last saison, average income 180K and teams below salary floor could avoid relegation (Germany is a larger mid-sized nation, not some micronation where this is normal).
From a S20 point of view almost ALL TEAMS in Germany are tanking now and since all teams are tanking you can still play competitive with very low salary teams.
This is a direct reaction on rising player transfer prices aka inflation. If you need more money to replace a player you cut costs to save more. Higher weekly income for all teams means higher influx of money into the economy. More money in the economy while available player numbers stagnate or shrink means higher prices. Higher prices will result in managers cutting more cost...etc. vicious circle.
I fully agree with Knecht that BB is tumbling towards hyperinflation and 13M for 124 TSP sales we see theses days will be normal in a few saisons if nothing is done to prevent that. The current announcements will in my opinion result in the opposite as i estimate that the boycott and salary floor measures will be overcompensated by the additional promotion boni.
