I can see your point and understand Joe agrees, yet, to be the best, you need to play the best, and even though it's good to plan ahead for GS and injuries, most of the time those will be okay, and you are throwing away games, to have the best option IF something happens, while you could play the best option UNITL something happens.
or with numbers: you might throw away 3 or 4 games just to be prepared for the 1 game where something goes wrong. And then I'd think, wouldn't it be better to just throw the 1 game but win all the others...
It's the way you look at it I guess.
On the other hand, we have been talking about real low stamina examples, but what if there is a MUCH better player with stamina 4? you want to put him aside for a clearly worse player with stamina 5? while the difference in stamina might just be over 0,5 ?
The way you tell, your answer is yes, 5 is your fixed number, and that's it. It's also that idea that makes me think it's not a good plan.
