So my season has come to an end…

I finished 4th in the blue conference with a 12-10 record.
The initial ambition was to avoid direct relegation and end at #6 or #7 so I could battle it out during the PD’s.
So obviously I’m very happy with the results 

In the first round I started very well: I could win my home games en even won an away game.
I could keep my momentum going during the inter-conference games and was even ranked #2 for awhile.
But then my game-shape took a hit and because of that I played very poor during the third round with only 2 wins in 7 games.

The reason for that was a bad injury (3weeks) of one of my starting guards. I had 1 very good guard, two fairly decent guards and 1 trainee.
Because of the injury my good guard started picking up more minutes and lost form.
Meanwhile I have signed a third decent guard so I should be able to avoid such problems in the future.
On the short-term I even trained gameshape for one week… only to notice he didn’t gain form :D

So a bit of bad luck caused a bad stretch of games.
And because of the very special season in the blue conference it remained very close till the end.
I didn’t like that for one bit  … damm that excitement! ;)

So what does the future hold?
My ambition was to avoid relegation and I did that. What could be my next ambition?
Cup? Title?
In order to achieve those goals I have to seriously change the way I manage my team and that will take several seasons in which relegation(s) can’t be avoided.
At the moment I still have to plan that new strategy, but I’m unsure when I want to execute that plan. Question I have to ask myself: now that I’m in BBBL and have proven I can stay in BBBL, should I try to fight to stay in BBBL or should I change strategy, drop to division III and come back in 5 or 6 seasons?

Unsure for now… the choice can depend on how the beginning of the next season goes.

Thank you all for a very exciting season.
Good luck to everyone still in the PO’s and PD’s and for all the others: good luck in the next season,

Rgds,
Polle

It sounds like a GS training on next Friday probably :)

I think it's inevitable indeed :-)
...but even with that it's gonna be tough for them to get a good GS anyway...good news for Royal Canin who managed to win his conf. finals playing "TIE".
That + the tricky situation in which Eagles are make him the big favourite to come back to BBBL.

Good luck to you for next season, it seems like the level in DII keeps rising as well, but you have everything in your hands to do a quick come back here.
