Charles, what do you mean by "work cheaply"?

I am not Charles, but I do have a fairly good idea: be willing to work part- or full-time for a salary that's affordable for BB, and commesurate to his/her skills and experience I don't think any more detail on this will be released in the forums, but I am sure Charles will consider applications from available developpers.

1, attendance - best teams attendance go down..

except top division teams now find that they can charge more, and so top teams earn the same ON AVERAGE although the distribution is compressed, this is in an attempt to keep the gap between divisions at a appreciable, but not insurmountable level.

2, best teams will not draft good player never + they need good players to be best - in this way they haven´t pupil never..

I think something is lost in translation here, but I think you are saying that its hard for the best teams to stay at the top. I think this would be a feature of any league, its the "parity" that all the best sports leagues aim for, keeps the game exciting for all the teams and fans. We don't want a league like the Premier league in English football.

3, only domestic players are usable. foreign players are qualmish because merchandise advantage of domestic player is too big, and proclamation of top BB player merchandise advantage is only proclamation ....

This is an overexageration of this effect, yes they are better but not so prohibitively better that you shouldn't consider using a national player if he is good enough. It does put a premium on domestic players, and a premium on training players for the NT. This was the point of this design change.

are you saying you see no pop in merchandising for good statistics (league leader in points/rebounds/assists etc, and a smaller bump in other stats?) or you assume because you are the best team that you have the best players? As stated explicitly in the news we understand the best stats are often put up by the not best teams, and yes this helps them get a little more income and compress the distribution.

lets be honest about this debate, top teams complain when we make the game more competitive, lower teams complain when we reward the top teams, complaining it makes the game less competitive. Really what we are striving for is a balance between those two extremes where the game both rewards success, while remaining competitive at all levels such that anybody who works hard enough at it can reach the top. In other words the American dream all wrapped up into a neat little .com package ;) (forgive me i'm kidding in that last sentence).

do you get more money for high % of domestic players or does every player add something to the money.
cause i have 20 players right now and could sell 10 of them to increase the % of german players on my team.

i have 5nt players but get only 33k für the 2nd german league and country rank 12 :(

:D - You dont want to replicate one of if not the most watched and talked about sporting leagues in the world.......

For the sake of this excercise I'll say the weighting towards domestic seems very strong... but i know that my problem lies in the fact my players aren't good enough to make their respective national teams. Even if they did it seems from the numbers posted that the extra push to keep up with the mono-skilled farm trainers wouldnt be worth it..

vide 2, Sorry for ma English, but I talk about rookie - when the best teams draft good rookie which they can train? Never. I am exception this season, but it is only because all Czech 1st league puffed at scout last season. Now, because domestic players (and own drafted players more) are advantaged by merchanedise, I haven´t chance to draft some trainable player.

vide 3, Exaggeration?? Is it realy right that jerseys of average domestic player with 18k salary are more salable then jerseys of one of the best players? Do you mean that Glen Johnson (FC Liverpool) jerseys are more attractive than Torres jerseys? Because Johnson is domestic?

good statistics - two games statistics are counted now only. If I was happy then I have best rebounder-scorer-assistant now, it doesn´t matter on quality of player. It is usable at end of season maybe. But on start of season - it is lottery only.

And next example - I play vs. weaker team (14 of 15 competitors in Czech 1.league). I win 120-70. My A-team players have 24-30 minutes only. And all my A-team players have 20points. Competitor have only 1 good player, this player plays 40 minutes, and scores 40 point (because all other competitor players give ball to him - this is BB engine). Have I chance to influence this? No ... Who will on first place in score statistics??

Why ratings of player exist? Why don´t you use average player ratings for choose which players are good and which not? Good defender are penalized, because they haven´t any merchanedise boosting statistics. And defending teams are double-penalized.

The point of this is to try to reach parity. Yourteam was a finalist in the BBB last season. What in the world are you complaining about? Do you want a successful team or a rich one? I think it more than fair that you get srcubs in the draft. I also think it more than fair that the guy whose player scores 40 a game because he is the only guy scoring should get more $$$ than your balanced team of studs. It might help him improve his team so that he can compete with you, which is what is wanted- a competitive game.

Your soccer analogy is waaaaaaaay off the mark. A striker in soccer is going to be more popular than a defender in 99% of the cases. Here is a better example. More people in Slovenia wear Vujacic jerseys than they do Odom jerseys, even though Lamar Odom is ten times the player Sasha is. Besides I bet more Johnson England jerseys sell in Liverpool than Torres Spain jerseys do.

There are guys who hit 10 homeruns in April (talking baseball now) whose jerseys fly off the shelves. Come June they are hitting .214 with 11 hr's and their jersesy are causing a logjam in the warehouse. What's wrong with that?

Any player is trainable. You have to set some priorities. The BBs are trying to make this a game where you can't have the best of everything. Why is that so hard to understand and so upsetting?

Look at what you have-

A) your team is very siuccessful. You have great attendance at your games. That means more money from ticket sales.
B) your assets. Currently you have 9 players on the market which you value at over 30 million dollars. How many teams could raise that kind of cash if they wanted?
C) You have an 18 year MVP trainee. You say you can't get a good tarinee but you just got one! How do you know what next year's darft will bring? Maybe everyone will do the same.

I do think ratings should play some factor in the merch equation. Then, of course, people will whine about "what about when we play guys out of position?"

*Whine whine*. Thanks for that one. I'm looking forward to the next concern you have ...Let's hope it doesn't get slaughtered by unneccesary, rude remarks.

My god, this IS waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off the mark! :-D Neither Vujacic nor Odom play in Slovenia, do they? We are not talking about how many player's jerseys are sold in the country he's born but how many of them are sold in the country he is playing at the moment.

vide 1. paragraph
ok, then why do we play BB? let´s roll dice, in dice we have same chance! and why BB-mans wrote that best teams will have best players? it is not right - I have 1 of the best, 3 very good, 1 good, 4 rookies, 3 bench players - and I am on edge with sallaries! By your opinion - BB-mans must write - we want to have all teams average !!!

vide 2. paragraph
ok, choose another expample - Rooney and Ronaldo last season ... Rooney is domestic striker, Ronaldo is attacking midfilder/forward, foreign, and better that Rooney. which jerseys are most sold? Rooney because he is domestic? not ...
Why do you wrote about slovenia peoples with jersey of player which play in NBA? This example is out, this event doesn´t turn up (no NT matches this season) ... And from where do you know what Slovenia people wear? I think that more Ronaldo´s jerseys are sold in Slovenia then

vide 3.
you are right, some merchandise boost when player have hot game this week is good idea. but it si not implemented now.

vide 4.
"Any player is trainable" - what?? minimum potential is superstar to have chance reach my requirement for A-team. and you are on similar level !

vide 5.
a, my attendance go down this season. lower attendance - lower income
b, I play this game for 6 seasons, 1-2 hours per day! I was daytrader - and I must start daytrading again, no other way to stay on top after this season changes. Therefore I am rich team.
c, I have a big luck last draft, and it is because other managers of Czech 1. league puffed at scouts.

edit vide 5. c, : and my drafted player is dramatically worse than my another 3 players for training ....

About merchandising I have to say that this solution I find a lot better than having every international player have 15% extra salary.
