this season is a write off, im looking more at avoiding relegation than winning any championships

at worst, your the third best team in this conf. You dont need to worry bout relegation unless you do something dramatically dumb. Truth is, you are not too far of from the top and will be the title contender you dream of being sooner rather than later. you've come a long way since missing out on playoffs by 5 pts. However, now that i've won my first match of this season, you and all else better watch out ;)

i could try to win both but with my starting PG injured my backup in mediocre GS and now weeks behind where he should be in his training and only 3 good big men i cant win 3 games in a week without thrashing my gs - which other teams dont seem to mind but i dont like

so options are

1) throw gave v pwnage rest everyone and give trainee 48+ minutes - but the % pounding could haunt me again and hard to balance minutes

2) throw cup and just train rookie there - but if he fouls out or is injured he is another week behind

3) go for it, throw caution to the wind, play all my guys 100+ minutes, thrash my enthusiasm and screw my rookie

hmmmm

OK kids. Almost halfway through the season now. Who's going to take out the title, who's going to be relegated, and who will win the all-important and prestigious 5th spot?

For me, I think Razzles looks in a lot of trouble and may be auto-relegated. Level with the Bears, but with over double the salaries, it looks bleak unless there's big improvement. Apart from him, I expect the Bears to make the most of all the cash they're hoarding very, very soon, and buy up big enough to crawl into 7th (or even 6th, depending on when they make their move) and should easily defeat their opponents in the relegation battle.

I have no idea who is going to go down in the Great 8, though - too close to call, particularly with a big acquisition this week by the West Adelaide Bloods. Plus, he's from Adelaide, which makes him better than most.

Championship - Will be Cowboys v Snuffies/Eagles, with Snuffies/Eagles to take it. Looks pretty clearly between those three teams at this point, they're far stronger than the rest of us. Eagles are flying a little lower than I would have thought, but you can't discount that monstrous roster.

5th: Probably me :/ and West Adelaide Bloods, I think.

everyone always thinks i am crap (dont say anything fat boy) but dont forget

* eagles only beat me by 12 at their arena and they put more effort in
* snuffles only beat me by 1
* jw - identical to eagles they only beat me by 12 at their arena and they put more effort in AND my 2nd best player was injured
* pwnage beat us but we threw that one to get a cup win

having your best player out for 3-4 weeks and then in bad gs for more really sucks, but unless we get 3rd brutal long injury this season we hope to be in the mix at the end

we have got some real hard games coming up and without radislow our offensive flow has taken a massive hit and our big men dont get the ball the way we would like - i still think this is a really really tough league, so many good teams and so deep, sure snuffles, eagles and cowboys have the edge but there are at least 6 in the b8 and 4 in the g8 that still have a chance and the addition of one or two key players can change the balance completly
