How did you go smashing the Div III attendance record with your first game in Div III?


Be interesting to know what the current best was in Utopia Div III.


My first game in Utopia last night produced a gate of $168,856

and I felt gutted... At least I know I've already dealt with my rival and there will be further increases because of that. I'm targetting a deep cup run + winning a lot of league games to see that threshold broken.

Ironic that we are both in almost identical situations in that we both promoted to Div III this season and that our stadiums are almost identical in configuration.

Your stadium pricing and team objectives however are completely different to mine and as a result your gate was an extra $10 K

Lower Tier : 1300 @ $36 (sold 1300) - 200 extra under construction
Courtside Seats : 270 @ $104 (sold 267) - 80 extra under construction

Your aiming for a long cup run, where as Ive already sold my most expensive player and will probably take a step back and consolidate and sell off some trainees and buy better ones.

Well I went on a buying spree and purchased 4 players.

Had intended to semi tank and sold my 50 K a week player, some how I ended up buying a 100 K a week player who I will now hang onto whilst im in the cup.

I guess our plans are now that not different although of course our pricing strategy for seating is still quite different

I reckon the 200K might be a challenging barrier to break in Div III.


Has anyone crashed the 200 K gate barrier whilst in Div 3?

It is possible to break 200K in Div III for other nations.
But they were broken with two extra advantage compared to current Utopia Div III:
1. Arena size for those teams were more than 15K
2. The teams were playing within the country/division for much longer seasons (as evident by the larger arena size)

For me, I prefer to compare Utopia arena income to other nations of one step lower division (for now).
I find it to be a closer match in terms of arena income guideline

My study on large nation's division arena income are roughly as below:
Div V: Avg $73K Max $94K
Div IV: Avg $124K Max $162K
Div III: Avg $197K Max $244K
Div II: Avg $347K Max $379K
Div I: Avg $530K Max $643K

Yes many of the teams in other nations Div IIIs have larger stadiums and the figures that you have provided I believe has given me confidence that the 200K mark can be broken by a current Utopian Div III team this season.

My 1st gate in Div III was 168K and Westris was a 178K

Westri and myself took an extra season to reach Div III and as a result have invested considerably more into our stadiums than the majority if not all of those currently in Utopia Div II

Next season when some of the teams who are still in Div IV who have focused even more on stadium growth that Westri and myself, reach Div III, IMO the 200K mark in Utopia Div III will be broken on a more regular basis.

i.e. the gap between Utopia earnings and that of other nations will quickly close, but IMO it wont be the first wave of teams who reach Utopia Heaven, instead it will be the 2nd and 3rd wave of teams who have taken the slower more steady approach, that are the teams who will be at the forefront of bridging the economic divide between Utopia and other Nations

Whilst I believe I can burst through the 200K barrier for attendance this season, sadly Im more likely to first break the 200K barrier for team salaries, than attendence

Like I said two factors to decide the arena income:
1. Arena size
2. Duration of play within the nation (can be roughly represented by season ticket holders)

Teams who hold back going all out will obviously be better geared to achieve the first criteria.

For the second criteria, obviously Utopia S29 teams in Div III has a better chance of getting higher arena income compared to S28. At the same time, S30 teams will have higher income than S29 in Div III on average. The gap from one season to another will slowly close as the teams within the division matures (arena size and season ticket holders)

I am actually agreeing with you that it is likely that someone will be able to break $200K in S29 for Utopia Div III but it will only be an elite few. Do note that the $200K achieved at other nations were an average not just a few teams
In fact, elite few of Div III of large nations were able to hit $244K.

I wish I could get the 643K with my Div 1 team in Australia.

Won the double and went undefeated last season but I only managed 582K for the first gate.
