Fact of the day: My current squad cost me a total of $10 237 900. And that was for only six players, since Cicvaric, Bradbury, Reith and Butkovic are all ex-draftees.
Therein lies the only drawback to having a salary efficient roster; the price it costs to establish it in the first place. Hence why I made a remark on my division II forum a couple of seasons ago about whether or not it was really worth spending two million to save one million. Still, I believe that I put the 10.2 million dollars to good use overall, even if I slightly overpaid for some players (coughHampshirecough).
Whilst I suspect that Look Inside is still my strongest offence due to the nature of the salary formulas on this game, I haven't noticed much of a performance drop-off for my team when I run other offences, barring any balanced offence not named Patient. It's a good thing too, as in the modern era of game-day preparation, one can't afford to sit on the same offence for more than a couple of games at a time.
