it is possible that some teams or leagues, particularly those with relatively low blocking skills compared to the average offensive skill set, might release fewer blocks in the new GE. We changed the way we did blocks, making it blocking skill more important, and tuned the overall level such that the average team got more blocks. The average buzzerbeater team is getting more blocks, this i'm sure of, though I can conceive that a particular buzzerbeater team might be getting fewer blocks because his blocking skills are bad relative to his competitions offensive skills, and the changes have exposed this. This was part of the reason we preannounced that blocking would become more important, so that teams would have a chance to pay relatively more attention to the blocking skill of their players in anticipation of this change.

i got some player with Shot blocking, i think with a lot above average even if they don't have the same like the offensiv skills of the opposing players ;) Even because i bought then because of the upcoming changes.

And i don't see a raise in my team, i would go for a degression.

@Forest:
A the altered shots new? And how often do they apear, iin comparision to the blocked ones?

Teams have been profoundly ignoring Shotblocking for seasons, and now complain there aren't enough blocks after the changes? The changes were not intended to make your mediocre blockers like Kareem-Abdul Jabbar.

They ignored it because is a useless skill.And it's ok.Could be more useful,but it will be always a secondary skill

Not useless at all,but certainly much less useful ,than many other skills(almost all)

as the bb said no one really has any good blockers so no one really knows the effectiveness of shotblocking

Even in national teams we can apreciate the use of shotblocking and of course there are good blockers so its a litle bit shocking that somehow we see that in old game engine there were more blocks.

Im also looking for that release of stadistics of shot blocking with the new game engine.

kozlo the main thing for me is that that the effectiness of blocking should be somehow in the near of the extra salary, i know that you can't weigth all skills exactly about their importance but i believe that blocking was(!) the only skill who was far off.

Nowadays, i still need to figure out how big the altered shot thing is, but for blocks himself i think it was like before.

Edit_: + that the training makes a bit sense.
