I think eventually, most teams will consist of trained players -- and the 7 footers will have superior rebounding and inside defense than the 6 footers (because frankly nobody is going to waste their valuable training time training a 6 footer in rebounding). Likewise you're not going to be able to train a 7 footer to the necessary skill levels to be an effective point guard.
At least, that's the goal I think BB is aiming for. Whether is achievable, is another question.
Meanwhile, its encouraging to know that a 5'9" guy like myself could compete with 7'2" in BB provided my skill set is good enough: "Steve fakes lefts and drives the lane. From the foul line he launches himself and dunks over Yao Ming!" Time to ask for that contract extension!
