See, this is what I like: a detailed, thought-out response.

Simply saying something "must" happen isn't very compelling.

Along these lines, since playoff gams are TV games, do they count as much for fans as normal TV games? If anything, they should count more, I think.

sorry that i was not detailed...
one reason is that bonus money for the champions are also happen in the real life, and also is an extra spur for win it...

In the NBA, I believe only players get a playoff bonus, not the teams.

Furthermore, if someone is playing this game and need an extra spur to win the championship, perhaps this isn't the game for them.
