Perennial all-star is absolutely fine for as high as you want to train him, maybe outside of a couple of million.

Seriously, guys with all-star potential can be trained up to 150k, let alone a grade higher.

Really? I'd love to see one even one allstar potential player at 150K, especially one without the asterisk.

An allstar guard will make it to 60-80k max with out being over trained. It really sucks once you get to that point and you've trained them for so long and you can no longer. The lowest potential guard I will train is Superstar for single position training. No point putting in the effort if you can't get real far

Making mono-skilled players might look cool but it makes crummy players. You ought to think about rotating his training, trying to keep his skills relatively even. Remember that you have 4 more seasons to train him and that skills develop more quickly if they are at similar levels. good luck with him!

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I havent seen any Allstar potential player without * having more than 73-75k salary. The soft cap is around 45-65. From 65 to 72~ is just 1 skill up on the primaries.
